I'd say like a glass of water, bowl of kidney beans about 1 hour 20 mins prior to workout, and then a pure protein (less then 2g carb and fat) drink just prior to workout.... maybe replace kidney beans with oatmeal... just my opinions.. to get in some regular amounts of slower acting low to med GI carbs in before workout, then some protein right before to hopefully minimize any burning of muscle for proteins... then maybe take in a sugar drink after workout with more protein... (about 20-30 mins post workout)
