Dont you already start benching at that? I mean, it's only 225 and that's what I usually start with for my first set, then I jump into 275 and finish with that. All on flat bench.TheOak84 said:awesome, my training partner did it for 26 at the end of his workout. hes weird though, hes the only guy i know who warms up with 225 for 20. then hell do 275x10, 315x5, then his heavy lifitng from there. his way of thinking is if i can do it for 20 then y not.. i guess thats the way to think. should we all start with 225, lol?

Grab the camcorder, cuz I wanna see you do 275 at least 15times.WalkingBeast said:Ill usually hit 225 for around 27 reps at the very end of my chest routine, which is anywhere from 11-18 sets of flat bench, most sets to failure. Even so, I only do it for 12 reps to warm up in the beginning. If I went all out and tried to break 30, Id sacrifice alot of my strength for the sets that mean the most. The same with 275. I can likely hit that 17-19 reps now and wouldnt want to take that set to failure in the very beginning. Id rather go for reps with 315 or save my energy for a one rep max. If I get a PR with 225 its usually on my 11th-14th set of flat benching. I used to take my warm-up sets to failure and have hit PR's that way also. But now Im focusing on the heavier weights for PR's. 315 and over.
He's a 400lb 1-rep bencher. That would put his 225 reps at 26 and his number of 275 reps at 15 -- that sounds right.yomama1 said:Grab the camcorder, cuz I wanna see you do 275 at least 15times.
it's not that I dont believe him, I just wanna see it.mrplunkey said:He's a 400lb 1-rep bencher. That would put his 225 reps at 26 and his number of 275 reps at 15 -- that sounds right.

ThanX brother!! Ive been wanting to get a back routine on video for months now. The demand on the boards is good for it, so Ill definately post the footage up when I finally get it. Id even post the shit up if no one showed any interest. haha Its good to see though. It doesnt look like its going to be real soon, but Im still working on it. Also my training is unpredictable at the moment with these back problems. I skipped back training this week, and all I did was cardio, calves and abs. Nothing else. Until thursday where Ill hit chest. By the time I get the charger for the camera, hopefully Ill be able to get a good routine recorded. ThanX again!!This page contains mature content.
