ya no kiddin like i said this tool is different from what we use but its the same method. it looks like u use it for connecting joints. u roll the tool on the connection and it butts them together

Sweet, thanks. I've been wanting to build one because for rehab. I just can't justify the grand for one from the man, though. I even have AutoCad running around here somewhere.

nope not a trailer hitch..

Plan details are complete but its modeled in 3D and all spec' out. I haven't completed the actual dwg's because I don't want to infring on any patents... still waiting for some more details, and some exact sizes on the bearings.

I think I have it here at work, If I do I'll send you the 3d model :)

Lookes like the straightener assembly coming off the downside of a tubing rig. Part of the downhole feeder I think. Not exactly sure of the technical name though.

My man!

the technical name is Counterhead which is part of the levelwind assembly that does basically what you described. It feeds & counts the linear ft of tubing that goes down the hole and also straightens it.. then on the up winds it back onto the reel ;)

Here is an entire assembly of the reel with the counterhead and the levelwind.

ERZULIE I'm impressed..you some sort of engineer?

Thanks :rose:

No I'm not but I've been working with one for 6+ years and he does some of the designing, and lets me do some, I do 95% of the 3d models and drawings though... That particular project has gone thru so many changes in the past 5 years... I thought I would have anxiety attacks.

the reel I posted is only one small part of the Entire Coiled Tubing Unit. Still making changes for the better now 5years later on every individual component. :worried:
