Great vids, thanks for posting those.

I'm no expert but it looked like that Stetsiuk had some arm bend on his clean? Not BB.com-esque but it looked different compared to Klokov.

I take it these weren't on the main stage. They showed the BB part on TV the other day, just a wee bit different environment I was surprised to see a huge MILO poster up there though.

Klokov is an impressive monster. You can feel the concentration emanating from him before he explodes.

shankle is one of mine. I thought his technique looked pretty good on that vid, not quite as clean as klokov, though.

however, i do have to brag a bit, klokov is the reigning world champion, and shankle took him down on that last clean and jerk, and beat him by 1 kilo. probably the first time a US lifter has beaten a world champ in a long time, at least on the mens side.

stetsuik has a few "imperfections" in his pull, but he is so explosive on the top and going under that they dont really effect him. the videos dont do his speed justice, or the speed of any of the lifters justice.

i agree completely with that bit on speed and videos.

for some reason, people always look slower in videos - perhaps the framerate is what kills it. they are probably twice as fast in real life.
