I new too the board but i been using steriods since i was 18 im 38 now, the reason im posting is i have a problem that i cant seem to resolve and its making my life miserable.
It starterd about 4 years ago, I have periods of total exhaustion that usually last 2-4 days but can be longer. I cant do anything, I cant work or go to gym during these periods I just sleep and stay in bed.

I changed my workouts, i thought i might be orvertrainning. I use to go heavy now i go light, I work out for 45 min. 4-5 days aweek, I do no cardio not even light cardio because even if i feel good i could effect me.

I been having blood work done but it shows nothing extreme,
colesterol 220, some protien in urine and slightly elevated liver enzymes.
Had liver, kidney ultrasound and 24 hr urine analysis, results were fine.

As far as steriods go I just about tried everything, went through periods serious abuse, I went years sometimes without cycling off.

I dont know what to do next, I was hoping that some on the boards might of went through the same thing or have some answers for my problem.

thanks

Nobody here can diagnose you. There are too many reasons for being ill and you're not giving enough medical history to know what it might possibly be. Go to a doctor.

Go do a sleep study. I had same problem. Sleep apnea for me. So no matter how much i slept was still tired. I now use a CPAP machine and now when I sleep for 5 hours I feel like it was 12 hours. Truly life changing. Without proper sleep your life and health will fall apart.

have you given yourself total time off at all? no training, for 2 week time?
also with slighly elevated liver enzymes you may want to check to see if you have been exposed to hepatits (I cannot remember which one is the one that is not bad) but this can cause bouts of extreme exhaustion as you say.

you should really however speak to your physician, there can be any number of causes for this and he would be best one to decide what to have you tested for

good luck to you

You should work all of this out with a medical professional, NOT on a steroid forum.

Sounds like depression, see a gp.

I use to use a CPAP machine, but now have a mouth guard and don’t snore as much, still sleep 9 hours minimum per night

I agree with Mr X but doctors are often crooks that don't make any $ off of curing you, so I never trust them. I can name 6 seperate incidents where doctors misdiagnosed my injuries/ailments and there only suggestion was me going under the knife asap. Each time my problems fixed themselves on their own. It sounds to me like you may have sleep issues, or perhaps a ball buster job where your 38 yo body just doesn't bounce back like it did 10-20 yrs ago. Like someone else said, more personal 411 is required for us to really give you a more educated opinion.

I wasn't going to say anything, because, like others said, we're not doctors. But, if your tests come back and physically you are fine, it may be some form of depression. I just mention this because I once thought I had low blood sugar or some medical problem where I felt lethargic etc. Turned out to be fatigue brought on by anxiety/depression. This was years ago when I was graduating high school while my parents were in the middle of a messy divorce. My life was kinda fucked up at the time and it was taking its toll. Just something to think about.

definitely go see a doctor, and if your blood tests have come back relatively OK, then maybe its mental, there's alot of things it could be, I"d seek help from a professional, not here though

I noticed that you stated you've had blood work done. I realize your cholesterol and liver enzymes are in check; however, this sounds like a low testosterone issue. Have you had a test panel done? You didn't mention anything about your free test levels, etc. - this could be the issue. Years of cycling and not coming off could have done serious damage to your male hormones. Hormone replacement therapy is an option, but you need this diagnosis from a doctor. I'm not a doctor, and this is certainly preliminary, but those are symptons of extremely low testosterone/hormones. Granted, there could be a variety of other reasons causing the problem; but that is certainly something to consider.

thanks for the imput

I have been seeing my primary doctor for this problem for years
Had blood work done mulitple times over the years
been tested for everthing.

I also seen a muscle specialist
and alergy doctor over the past 2 years.
right now im seeing a urologist because of protien in urine.

the doctors seem to not take it to serious since everthing comming back relatively fine.
thats why i posted on the forum

I thinks it could be a sleep issue.
I do have alot of anxiety and grind my teeth all night and have noticed i been doing it during the day also.

have you had your test levels checked?

maybe your natty levels never really recovered.. leaving you feeling run down

HRT?

do you fall asleep at any place in the day? behind the wheel, at ur desk, wake up with headaches, have a terrible snoring problem.. i too myself have sleep apneia, have the cpap machine with the fukll mask, best thing i ever did.. i feel like a million dollars and just 3 months agio i was in the same boat as you .. insurance covers the study and the machine go get checked out whats the worst they can say.. your fine.. :)
