1st Test Cycle question

dreadlift

New member
Hi guys, been a long time lurker of this website and have finally decided to join. Anyway I am starting a 12 week test cycle of 300mg/week, before I go ahead I need to get my diet on par. I am coming to an end of my cut where I dropped from 18% body fat to now around 10%. My goal is to eventually be below 10% and add couple of kg's of lean muscle.

Now, would I be wasting my time running a test cycle at maintenance level or even below to only gain muscle (keep in mind this is my first cycle) or should I treat this like a bulk? I know I would have to take my pct seriously and up calories at the end to make all this worthwile....

I dont wont to add any other compounds at this stage to keep my bodyfat low

ok I'm doing intermitent fasting now, do you suggest caloric maintenance?
For PCT i have nolva, arimidex and I'll get some zinc supplement

your pct is shit... use arimidex on cycle to prevent bloat and gyno...

pct... low dose clomid 25/12.5/12.5/12.5
unleashed
forged pct...

alright I got the unleashed and will look into clomid

so to wrap this up will I see decent gains eating at maintenance to avoid putting on fat?

start above maintance your body will be in an anabolic state so use that to your advantage.
get some protein every 2 hrs along with some carbs

i dunno ive got the same body build as you do and i'm currently running my first test cyp cycle 500mg once weekly, I eat like an animal (4-5000 cals a day 300G protein) and my body fat has dropped from 15% to 12% even though im still gaining muscle....i think if your an ectomorph like i am (hard gainer, fast metabolism) then putting on fat wont be something you'll have to worry about too much.

if I can bump this thread...

Can anyone advise me on whether dropping body fat while bulking (500 above) 400gm of test e can be done? gone from 18% to 10% but want to get to 8% while on the juice.

I think I am an endo-ecto. Blow up on a surplus lose weight easily on a deficit. Whats the best macro ratio?

it's trial and error for everybody

there is no magic number of calories we should all eat each day to lose weight. While most people can lose weight eating around 1,500 calories, you can assess your own personal caloric needs with a little math.(you can also use this to gain weight also)

Why Estimate Your Caloric Needs?
To estimate how many calories you should consume in order to maintain your weight, you'll need to do a little math. By using a simple formula called the Harris-Benedict principle, you can assess your basic metabolic rate -- also known as your BMR.
(Then, to lose weight, you'll need to cut calories or burn extra calories and shoot for a level lower than the results you get with this formula.)

Calculate Your BMR
Your BMR is the amount of energy your body needs to function. We use about 60% of the calories we consume each day for basic bodily functions such as breathing.
Other factors that influence your BMR are height, weight, age and sex.

Step one is to calculate your BMR with the following formula:

Women:
655 + (4.3 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)

Men:
66 + (6.3 x weight in pounds) + (12.9 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)

Please note that this formula applies only to adults.

Calculate Activity
Step two: In order to incorporate activity into your daily caloric needs, do the following calculation:

If you are sedentary : BMR x 20 percent

If you are lightly active: BMR x 30 percent

If you are moderately active (You exercise most days a week.): BMR x 40 percent

If you are very active (You exercise intensely on a daily basis or for prolonged periods.): BMR x 50 percent

If you are extra active (You do hard labor or are in athletic training.): BMR x 60 percent

Add this number to your BMR.

The result of this formula will be the number of calories you can eat every day and maintain your current weight. In order to lose weight, you'll need to take in fewer calories than this result.anddo the opposite in order to gain.

As you lose weight or Gain Weight, you can re-calculate the formula to assess your new BMR.
