Just got back from my 1st experience at University of God Damn Idiots.
1st class. 8:00 Intermediate Algebra.
The professor goes over the syllabus, expectations, etc. Then we start learning. This dumb sumumabitch writes on the board-
GCF (Greatest Common Factor)- The smallest number by which 2 numbers are divided into.
<mylife thinking> hmmm, i haven't had math for a couple years but ill be damned if that looks wrong. oh well, i'll let it slide, he's the doctor/professor.
Then he writes on the board that the GCF of 18 and 12 is 36.
<mylife raises hand> uhhh sir, isn't that the least common denominator? the greatest common factor is the largest number that is divisible into both numbers.
<teacher walks over to his book and flips pages rapidly> ummmm uhhhh uhmmm lets see here...oh yes i thought that didn't look right.
The rest of the class somewhat carried on like this. How the hell is this guy going to teach intermediate algebra when he doesn't even know the stuff most people learned in 7th grade? And why the hell did none of the other kids in the class know what the hell GCF and LCD is?
Next class- 10:30 World Politics.
Teacher walks in class.
<mylife thinking> Pepe le pew teaches politics?
Pepe le pew flips on the overhead and starts talking about how "politics influence all of us and here's why."
<mylife thinking> oh great, here comes the september 11th bullshit.
The 1st 3 pictures he shows are people jumping out of the WTC. I'd comment on this but this was nothing compared to the next picture he shows.
Remember the internet hoax of the guy standing on top of the WTC having a picture taken of him while the plane was coming at the tower? He busts out this picture and tells us how that could have been anyone of us standing on top of that WTC.
<mylife raises hand> You're right, it could have been any of us. All we'd need is a digital camera and Adobe Photoshop.
Pepe: I'm not sure what you mean.
mylife: Well, the last time I checked people don't wear winter coats and stocking caps in early September, and the sun doesn't set at 10 AM.
