Is it safe for a 19 year old to do a 6 week var cycle at 40 mg ed? With proper pct following? I am 21 going on 22 and had done a winstrol cycle when i was 20 and everything went fine. My 19 year old brother wants to try var and i was just wondering what i should say to him?

NO. You are doing nothing but decreasing your natural testosterone levels. You are producing more testosterone right now at your age and your brothers age than you will ever produce. Take advantage of it by dialing in your training, fine tuning your diet and reaching your GENETIC potential, before even considering steroids. Steroids are not a magic pill that will make you big and look good. I hope you heed my advice my friend.

children shouldn't be messing with steroids.

you don't even hit your prime with bodybuilding till you are in your 30's believe it or not. the average age of mr olympia is 34 years old. Arnold won it in his 20's but he was a genetic freak.

you have years of muscle memory and building a base to reach your goals. no reason to rush things. I spent years training both weightlifting and endurance running. it has allowed me to build a nice base and learn about nutrition, workout techniques that work FOR ME. then when i was 29 i decided to run my first cycle. now in my early 30's I am in the best bodybuilding shape of my life.

this isn't a sport to me, this is a lifestyle. at your age you are still figuring out what you want to do, in college, living with the parents, etc. there is no way you can dedicate the time and resources into this yet so might as well be natty

Speaking as a parent, no young person wants to hear that they're a child. They'll go against what you say just to prove it!

But steve is right in that this is a lifestyle. At 19 you can make amazing gains. If you don;t want to put the work in and learn the discipline, then steroids are a waste of time and may mess you, or your "brother", up.

Tell him food is the most anabolic substance he can put into his body. He needs to eat like it's his full time job and, in all honesty, probably train less (but do more).

He should get on a good program like the 5x5. Stronglifts.com seems to have become the place for all versions of 5x5 now. They even have all of madcow's old site up over there.

If he's physically/hormonally normal, it's a waste of gear. I think any of us would happily trade all the gear in the world for a 19-year-old endocrine system and body characteristics. USE IT WHILE YOU STILL HAVE IT!
