19- Mumps ?? Wtf ??

i found out that i may have the mumps !! he to the swab test and gave me pills for it(wont be another 2 weeks for the results to cum back ).. but he said it looks like the mumps, which includes sore face all over, and could even make me infertile ... so i am banned from gym, bars ,clubs, infact everywhere i would be right now ! he also said stuff like press ups, and sit ups are bad for me right now cause they will raise the body temp, which just makes the illness worse !!he also said i should take care cause at 19 it can be deadly !!!!!! i look like a hamster that has just packed its pouches full of munch !! so i need to stay in for like 2 weeks i think !

well there is an epademic in britian at the moment.. there is a theory that people born within 1985-87, when they got the MMR jab, it was a dud... nothing it it, so most people aged from 15-25 just to be shure, have to get the jab now, letters are being sent to every1 in that age group ! so im th unlucky 1 who got it .thanks for the support.

Thats true but it doesnt always work. I had an MMR vaccination when I was young then a few years back I had an MMR titer test at the same time as a TB screening and it came back that I had no immunity so I had to get another MMR vaccination. Vaccinations arent always 100% effective

I thought getting mumps, measles etc when you're adult was more dangerous, isn't that why parents have those nasty disease parties for their kids so they don't get the virus latter on in life?

yeah, they are pritty deadly when you are an adult . so far i can get no sleep, because when i try to go too sleep the pain on each side of my face is to sore to get to sleep. i cant really eat much, and my balls are a little tender, which i know all you guys wanted to know, which is scareing me the most , i feel so lazy doing fuck all, but i cant go outside cause i will spred it.

it may just be your mind playing up it may not, but the complication of mumps leading to sterility which is getting you worried is epididmo-orchitis, which is effectivly an infection ofyour testicle(s)

Even if you do get it, it is usually limited to one testicle and not both, and in either case is fairly rare, but if you do have it it will make your balls hurt

go see your doc, and they can assess you and treat you accordingly

There's a lot of antibiotic resistant bacteria these days, go back to the doc and he may prescribe a different antibiotic. Your mumps culture hasn't come back yet?

I would DEFINATELY get checked as soo as you can, don't get too worried as they could just be hurting for so many reasons but you have to get examined with urgency, go see someone ASAP IMO....

hey even if you go to just get a clean bill of health its a worthwhile trip (most A+E units have a minors centre so I would go there), but DO go see a doc!

........I HAVE THE MUMPS ! yes it was confirmed. so i cant go out the house, till friday! and im really shocked , about my nuts ! she just said well the mumps can cause pain in the testes. and that was all, she never took alook or anything. better that way . she also said that she had only seen 1 case of the mumps last year, and this year alone she has seen 16 ! what can i do now im really really bored ? help me out guys what can i do ?

yeah it was my Dr . she took like 4 tubes of blood from me too, i felt like she was sucking me dry !! lol
