17 Weeks until 1st contest Progress thread

I am entering my first competition in 17 weeks and am going to post my progress pics to update my dieting. I have never dieted before in my life, but my wife is a nutritionist so she is keeping me on schedule. I currently weight 223lbs and plan to compete in the heavyweight class at 195lbs or less. I would appreciate all critisism. Thanks in advance. My stats are listed below:

Height: 5'10
Weight: 223lbs
Arms: 19
Waist: 35
Chest: 50
Thighs: 26

17 weeks out and you look amazing.

I don't know much (if any) about contest dieting, but good luck, looking that great now, I'm sure you'll do awesome.
 
I am not a platinum member, so I cannot view but the thumbnails. However, from what I see you will be fine. With the nutritional advice from your wife, you should come in shredded. 17 weeks out, it is just beginning. It is great that you are giving yourself the time to diet correctly. I usually always advocate 16 weeks at least your first time out. Having to drop fat too fast results in muscle loss. Keep us up to date.
 
Looking good bro.Only suggesting I have is when you get to the last 2 weeks before show get with someone who has done shows before because the diffrence of a few places 1,2,3, could be something in your diet just hours or days before. which you probably already know!Good luck JD

Yeah bro. Great starting point. I don't know your wife, obviously, but I would get someone that works with competitve bodybuilders for your diet. Again I don't know if she does or not, but I've seen some great physiques ruined by certified nutritionist. Good luck.
