I'm new to the community and never introduced myself. First of all, just because Ariel is my moniker, I'm a dude.
I'm in grad school, work, and was predominantly in gear forum then late one night I came down here and was graciously welcomed by CM, since then I find myself really digging on the eclectic communal feel of this place.First Board I've ever been on and would be honored if you guys provided me feedback on this curiosity that has been nagging at me.
I'm at work and have a ruminating curiosity about electronic communication vs. human interaction. I have alot of thoughts about this acutally, but will show some restraint and not digress.
I wonder if I paid for your own private plane to Fiji and your own personal island to stay on with a private suite set up and food prepared to your own individual taste and your own personal gym to not lose anything... what you do all day is up to you. Either choice you make you are provided with a library loaded with books of your choice. The choices are a 17 inch Macbook or your choice of EF member, it is only for 5 weeks.
If you choose laptop. You still have access to EF through laptop obviously which has full internet access. As well as $3000. Which do you choose laptop or EF member? Which do you choose and why? Who do you choose? Why?
The question that ruminates in my dome is which is more personally fulfilling human interaction or the convenience of electronic communication?
Are there any benefits in personal development in spending 5 weeks with a person you are close to. Would you grow as a person from that experience? However, can you develop just as much with the solitude to workout, read over whatever it is that stimulates you, and keep in touch with EF through your laptop. I'm not sure there is a wrong answer. I think both could lead to tremendous self development with the right attitude. Either way you would be de conditioned from the whole habitual routine of work-workout-eat-sleep
I think it would be personally lucrative with whatever choice you made.
