Tough situation. Obviously he's going to suffer consequences from it, but if he's bullheaded enough to be that disciplined to get where he is at 16, he's probably not going to listen to anybody. Protecting him is the moral right thing to do; by telling his parents. But I can't honestly say I'd do the right thing here. Also you could get yourself in trouble in a number of ways by getting into the middle of it. As the law see it, you probably are better off not noticing anything, and "what you saw, you thought was an allergic fly bite on the kid's shoulder", if it ever comes up. He's probably going to get himself caught sooner or later with an attitude as bold as to shoot the delts at the gym, and them come bleed in front of strangers.
I usually have an opinion on most of the stuff that comes up here, but this time I'm baffled.
