14 day DNP journal

Monday 2/5/04
Waking weight 84.8. did a great chest and tri workout yesterday, drank a lot of water, salt and glycerol (hope to speed up glycogen production) must say I look much better today. Cheast has filled out, waist/abdomen looks tighter. Arms sneaking back to 16 inches again. Had massive food cravings all night. Urine color back to normal. Hives still present, keeping them at bay with antihistamines at present. Note about hives: they manifested after 15 days of the drug being present, as it was decreasing in concentration. The only other variable is that I had 3 other drugs that night (one of them alcohol-light beer) one of them codiene, one of them paracetamol. I was sitting on some couches in a club, so it may be that some other antigen (apart from dnp) caused the hives. Cannot elucidate source anyway. On a side note, mental clarity has returned. It is now 8:00pm, and approximately two elimination half lives have passed. Therefore, I should only have 25% of the total amount in my body at the time of the last dose. As I was using 400mg/day, I would have had a total of 1200mg in my body at the time of the last dose. 25% of this is obviously 300mg. Time 8pm. Hives resolved. Woohoo they were fucking annoying. I am starting to suspect (strongly) that it was not the DNP that caused the hives. The onset at day 15 and resolution on day 17 when 3 new drugs and a new environment were encountered on day 15 is just too coincidental. Anyway did a back workout today, reps are climbing again. Not at full strength or stamina yet, but then there is still a fair bit of the drug in my body.

Tuesday 3/5/04 waking weight 84.8.
Wednesday4/5/04 waking weight 84.2. going to gym today, will see how I feel.

Wednesday 4/5/04 waking weight 84.2

Thursday 5/5/04 waking weight 84.2

Friday 6/5/04 waking weight 84.6. it has now been 7 days since last dose. Overall body impression: face is still lean. Biceps are under 16 inches (15-7/8) and don’t look as puffy. I suspect some lean mass has been lost, but must say that until now, I do not feel that I have held much (if any) glycogen post workout. Muscles still feel very flat, and until today reps on weights were way down. Suprisingly, today I was quite strong in bi and tri exercises, and so I will wait another 3 days to assess. Waist is still as small as it got on cycle, and so the fat from that area has been lost for good, it seems. Obliques more visible. Abs more visible. Abdominalis rectus very visible. Did legs, stamina is down, and I am very very sore post workout. Extremely sore. Havnt been like this since my first mega workout after a few months off. Back musculature is good, much better than pre cycle, but still not crystal clear. Legs look very lean, with a few cuts going all the way from knee to hip (this DIDN’T happen pre cycle). Overall it seems that most of the weight lost was fat, but there may have been some muscle lost if indeed it is not delayed glycogen recompensation (reasonably likely). Will adress this and do a better overall take on the cycle in 3 days.

Wednesday 11/5/04 waking weight 83.4. in the past week or so I have embarked on a very low carb, high prot, low fat diet, and so feel very flat. As a result, I cannot accurately depict the efficacy of the DNP cycle; however, looking in the mirror, I look far far better than pre cycle. Regarding strength and stamina, post DNP the closest description I can give is that it feels as if you have not trained in a month and am back in the gym. Strength is fairly normal, but stamina is way down. Is this an indication of muscle loss or just the low low carbs post cycle? I don’t know. Sorry to those people who wanted to know how much wad fat/muscle, but it certainly looks like most of the weight loss was of fat. As stated previously, there was probably a bit of muscle lost, but not terribly much, since there was just so much lost from places on my body which are not muscular: face, head, back of neck, forearms, inner elbows, upper legs/crotch. If I had to make a guess I would say that of the 6 kg lost, under a kg was of muscle, and to be honest, that’s better than I achieve with cardio anyway.
