got mt diet changes for the next week b4 peak week..my numbers alternate..
150-75-25
150-50-25. do able for me.cardio is 2 40 min ss and 5 hiit for 20-25 mins. I am crazy ready on top...striated veins funky shit happening! but the butt still needs to come in...errr! I am worried that I will loose size on top....IM 2/4/6 weeks out. :worried:
 
I have no doubt that you'll reach your goal(s) by show time. You rock. :garza:

I know it's my inexperience talking so feel free to laugh at me but I think you look freakin awesome and I'm having a hard time trying to picture you being more cut than you already are in the recent pics. Thanks for being an inspiration. :rose:

It's funny you say "go ass go" because I've repeated that to myself on more than one occasion, usually during squats or on the step mill. :FRlol:

I can relate to this as the lower body being the last to go, but I'm still maintaining the majority of my upper body mass, if not ALL of it .. figure wise, my LBM has not dropped.. YET ... But mad striations, fingers, veins popping up from the hips bones up...

I cannot relate to contest prep in the ways the comp ladies can though ... I know Frisky & Sassy may have some better advice ... but unless there is something you can take to preserve the muscle mass (I have NO idea btw), while sacrificing muscle mass on your lower body (butt in particular, and i HATE the word overtraining so I am NOT going to use it) ... then I can't help but think a little of the top will have to go as well ... do you know what I mean?

Maybe something to work harder at in the off season, focus on gettng more mass up top to even things out for the next cutting time?

I wish i could provide better insight, but either way you win .. whether you get what you want, or gain the knowledge on how to next time around ... :rose:
 
bunny...i think the bootay is the nightmare most of us girls face getting lean for a show! Mine comes in...eventually! just hope its in the next 2 weeks. cardio is getting hit pretty hard..did uphill run today fro 40 mins....that should help! lol...
havent weighed in..but measured a few areas this morning..bi is 12 and 1/4 flexed..
waist 23 and mid thigh a hair under 20. so all in all, i guess im happy with things...
 
That's a hard one - I cut up like crazy on top too but the ol' caboose still "drags ass". The only thing I've heard that helps to maintain muscle mass is to include amino acids (e.g. Beverly International Mass Aminos) w/ your protein meals. Its a real hard thing to keep that balance of mass, esp for women. That's why esp in natural BB shows you see the women with such a crazy variety of shapes - they aren't really aesthetically pleaseing either because its usually such an complete imbalance between top & bottom.

Otherwise just keep your protein up....

i got my peak week plan today..and it looks good, just as I remember. i love peak week..i love watching the changes. i will post it as i go next week. tough week this week....more low carbs are hitting the cardio....i went to do track work this morning and they were working on it, so i did a trail run instead! i hate when i get derailed! :evil: anyway its gorgeous out here...and that always puts me in a good mood.

today is posing pratice, sprints and birthday party for god son...i have cake duty...can anyone say GUM???!!

I want those legs! How long did it take in your diet to get your legs to cut like that? Mine won't let go of the fat. I guess that's always the last to go though.

Low carb sux. It just does. But you should have one helluva a carb load in the next days tho! And oh the ecstasy of a complex carb body buzzzzzzzzzzzzz! ;)

my peak week is as follows..

sat/sunday 50g carbs... water1.5 gal

monday 75 g carbs water same..i start adding in extra C here

tues 125 g carbs water same

wed 100g carbs water 1.5 gal add in B6

thurs 75 g carbs 1.25 gal start reduce salt here

fri 50 g carbs all beef and grapefruit..1 gal water. by 6 ..no added salt

sat
3.5 oz steak 1/3 c yam

2 hours later 1/2 pr bar

2 hours later 3 oz steak 1/2 c yam

b4 pj rice cake w/ pb and jelly and a bit of candy

switch to chic and yam in the afternoon.

I have used this method for my past 5 shows..and it is perfect each time.

I actually like this appraoch - its very simple and no extremes anywhere. I'd venture that you probably feel pretty good on it? So you do a carb deplete the week before and then start a mild carb up?
 
yes...i had 50 g of carbs for 5 days..ugh! pro stays at 150 and fat 25. so many people do crazy things the last week and you really dont need to. and i feel so much better w/o dropping water so severly. water fills you out, so why ditch it..my HO....
 
I guess one point you might want w/ the water is to make a class weight, although at the level I compete it it probably doesnt matter. It's usually exciting if there are enough competitors to fill out 2 weight classes so at least there can be a pose down for the overall.

I've been happy w/ a 5 day water drop with each day dropping 20% of the total, where the total is my weight in oz of water on the 1st day. I still haven't found the ultimate carb up yet. Fats bloat me like crazy. See what we come up w/ for this yr....

my baby hawkeye is in the pic..i have 2 springers, liter mates..radar is his brother.
butt isnt 100% ..but its good....photo shoot is the 26th ..the day b4 show 2.
 
i agree! getting stuff done today...its my last day off b4 i leave friday. its only a 2 hour drive, but PJ is at 930...so i dont want to have to leave at teh crack of dawn so im staying over. doing my food for the next 2 days, shaved, packing, posing..bla bla....
 
thanks you guys rock! i am at 107.4 today...eating cold hamburg and 1/4 grape fruit and i m FREAKING HUNGRY! that my day....beef and gf...i works but it sucks. leaving at about 1..heavy heavy rain today and sat...figures..what to do ..i will drip my tan off!!! looking good....happy with all so far, and changes will come more today as i tighten up...add in more b6.. 300 mg and 3000mg c ...get some wine later too..2 sips and i got a buzz! thanks girls for your support and encouragement, ill report back sunday..

well it was a big show! i took 3rd out of 11-13 girls..not bad...i thought as did eveyone else that it was me and another girl for top...the 2nd girl was ripped but scrany about 90 lbs....but i was happy with my look...i peaked perfectly and ate pizza and pb cups last night...i cant post pics yet...my dads camera isnt compatable with my pc.

If your photog wants to clean them up at all or download them you might need to wait a bit. Otherwise maybe he/she can email a few if you are really impatient. You can ask this ahead of time -- maybe if you bring your own disk or something..

leaving today for show 2. weight hasnt really changes, but i do feel a bit tighter. looking forward to this show...my freind that i dont see much is also going..so girl trip plus a show. ill check in sunday sometime.
 
well....big news and decisions for me...i won the overall..which qualifies me for nationals....YES!!! the head judge thinks i have the perfect look for npc national figure..so i have some choices to make......now im napping...good day!

thanks honey your to kind! the 1st pic is a proof from my shoot.....I wanna update everyone, I have been hectic this week trying to decide what my future holds in this sport. after my trainer spoke to the ifbb VP (he was a judge) he wants me to stick to bb. he wants the fbb to start looking more like WOMEN (gasp!) and likes my combo of muscle and feminine lines. so thats where im staying. and looks like i might be doing...JUNIOR FREAKING NATIONALS!!!! yell loud for me sass! im the red head in the LW class that looks like she messed herself! ill keep ya posted....
