12 weeks out from my first show PICS

i just took these pics 30 min ago.... any tips from people who have competed would be greatly apreaciated.

the diet is what i am most worried about.

right now its 300 carbs a day and 350 protein no added fat so its under 30 grams a day... i am gonna be doin tons of cardio..... i am already doin 30 min every morning will bump it up at 12 weeks to 45 then at 10 weeks 1 hour.... then as i need drop carbs and and more cardio post work out.

don't make fun of the face.

Looking diesel bro. I wish you had a front pec & triceps shot so we can get a better idea of the entire package. As far as the carbs are concerned, do you limit your carbs the closer you get to bed time?
 
220 5'10 i will get some tri pics... my chest is my worst muscle for sure.... i have been trying really hard to bring it up...
 
a few things,

1) blur out your pic face, I DO NOT understand why people are posting pics with their faces on an AS board ...jesus

2) in your double bicep pic, is your nose bleeding? I can't tell

3) you're thick for sure, looks like you need a bit more chest and back (common for bodybuilders, along with legs)

4) start your diet asap, you need to drop a good amount of bodyfat to be dialed in, in 12 weeks

my nose is not bleeding.... sun burn and the lighting i guess.... don't know how to blur out the face

go to start > program files > Accessories > Paint

File > Open > (FIND THE IMAGE)

take the brush tool and black it out

then SAVE

it does look like you may be a little bit behind on the diet though
 
ya man.... i am worried about that.... i am dropping weight fast though.... last week i was 225 this morning i was 216..... hopefully i get dailed in.... i will post updated pics to let you guys know how the fat loss is coming.... i don't have a chance on stage with you needsize:)
 
Personalyy id up protein to 400g a day and start hitting cardio directly after your workout for an additional 30 min, 12 weeks insnt as much time as you think trust me it will fly by. Also you need to be reducing carbs severly on non workout days, id sax max 150 grams. What is are you get up, sleep, and workout times? What are you currently eating forthe carbs and protein. How many days a week are you lifting and how many cardio? WHat are your lifting splits like? Are you doing this on your own? I am not liking the fat amounts, where does the fat come from also. Get back to me for assistence.

oh boy do i feel bad for this guy, lol!
well.. the weight comes off fast at first, mostly water.. i am about 8.5 weeks out, and i got some serious diet/ cardio coming for me.

did you start your prep late? lookin good, definately a hard 12 weeks ahead.

12 weeks will not be enough im afraid----started a little late whats the current BF looks above 15
 
i am doing 30 min every morning now... mon will up it to 45 min then the week after 1 hour... then 2 weeks after that 1 hour in the morn 30 min post workout.... then i will work up to 2 hours a day

the show is oct 21

5 day split
day 1 chest
day 2 back
day 3 arms
day 4 shoulders
day 5 legs
day 6 cardio
day 7 off
 
Badassy...couple things...your diet should be your primary for weight loss not cardio. cardio should be done 2 times a day at no more the 45 minutes but preferably 30 for the entire 12 weeks. Just a brisk walk on the incline or a moderate pace on the eliptical. You want cardio to speed your metabolism. If you use it to lose weight you will lose muscle with it. Your definitely thick so if you can keep what you have and shed the fat you'll do fine.

My cardio is at 3 hours a day. Definitally do not recommend 30 min. Have you seen his pics?????????????

I said 30 minute sessions but 2 times a day. What is the point of sacraficing all the hard earned muscle just to get on stage? You diet down the correct way and if 3 weeks out you are way behind then you do another show. I see so many people who net 2-3 lbs of muscle a year because they don't know how to balance the cardio and diet properly. If you gain 40 lbs in the off season and can't keep at least 15 in muscle you are doing something wrong. (not you personally borg..just saying)

lets start a post asking how many members-members that seem to give an awful lot of advice on show prep exactly how many shows they have actually done if any--i will post it now
 
i just had my bf taken... it was 15 percent.... i also hired a guy to help me with my diet that i will see weekly. those web cam pics are pretty shitty.... my girl has a digi cam i will get her to take some with that... get a better idea... i agree with borg though i know i am gonna be doin a fuckload of cardio....

Beat both of you hour in the am and 45 minutes in the pm 6 days a week. I would personaly rather have a few extra calories and have to do a bit more cardio.

can't really put it better than this, except your face was blurred by the time i saw the pics. you look to be over 15% to me... i still think you can get in shape though. i think your legs look good personally, but who knows after you diet down

shame you have to go up against needsize lol

I'll have to be the judge of how well that cardio is working for you.....

I've gone through contest prep twice and I didn't do either show. My first one I had to pull out because of surgery on my lymph nodes where they were concerned it was cancer. I posted about this when it happened. My second "no show" was for exactly what I stated above. I started dieting to late and when I was 3 weeks out me and my trainer discussed where I was at and he left the choice to me.

Either skip the show and keep some of the size i built in the last year or lose most of it to get peeled and step on stage. I personally worked my ass off for that muscle so I wasn't about to give it up. Also I weighed 205 at 9% BF when I stopped training for my surgery and this year I weighed 220 at about 7% BF.

For me this was a no brainer..keep what I have and add to it and try and come in at 224 f-in shredded.

Borg don't get me wrong..I'm not saying my way is the only at all. I'm just responding to this guys e-mail with advice on how I would do it. How my training partner would do it and how some of the BB'ers I hang with would do it. There are many schools of thought.
 
Dude all I know if that if I was like 10 weeks in and my trainer said either look a litle muscle and do more cardio or quit. Id shure as hell get my ass on that tredmill and stay there as long as I had to. A contest diet and exercise program is hell there is no way I could ever fathum just quitting even after 3 weeks of that hell.
 
why are you so low with your fats?

IMO you would drop fat much faster if you brought your protein up another 50g droped your carbs to around 150-200g and brought your fat up except for post work out meals. JMO
 
i am seeing the dietition tonight and he is going to go over my diet and fix it for me.... i will post what it looks like....

i didn't even think people seeing my face would be a big concern.... needsize got his face in all his pics.... no one said much to him?

i will post when i get my diet back from this guy....

I was 3 weeks from the show not 3 weeks in and I plan on body building for years to come so I was in no rush to just compete. I want to win and be the thickest most peeled guy on stage. The decision was not made lightly but one I am happy I made. I'm now 240lbs with BF around 10% without any gear so I am on a good pace to be where I want to be for next years show in June. Maybe I'm weird but I didn't think it was hell...I enjoy seeing new results every week and watching the transformation. I'm twisted i know. To each his own.

Well for me going to sleep at 930 is hell, not to mention the fact that I havent seen a bar or resturant for 16 weeks, I am a very social person and thats what makes it hard for me, I need my nights back.

its a canadian thing, in canada personal amounts of steroids are legal, so I dont stress it
