10 most intimidating sports figures

The only one I agree with is No. 1... :Chef: :tuc:

LOL @ the end of the Tyson write up!

"Is there any amount of money that would convince you to get in the ring with this guy?

Didn't think so."

In 2002, he won Fox's Glutton Bowl 1, and in 2003, he just barely lost to a Kodiak bear in a hot dog eating contest on Fox's Man vs. Beast program.

tuc?

Mike Tyson, Bill Romanowski, Charles Barkley, Chuck Cecil, Charles Oakley, Lots of those 300 pound plus defensive lineman.

"So, why are his opponents scared of him? Have you seen this guy?! Only 131 pounds, tuc biscuit is an eating machine. The legend of the sport (and yes, this is a sport!) uses the innovative "gonelifting's gut" technique when digesting his dogs. A master of the eating style, tuc breaks each hot dog in two, then stuffs both halves in his mouth at once. NFL great William "Refrigerator" Perry tried taking a stab at the infamous tuc in 2003 but failed miserably. The 1985 Super Bowl star ate four hot dogs in the competition; tuc had 44 1/2"

Mean Joe Greene, Dick Butkus, George Foreman, Sonny Liston.

Randy White, Mike Singletary, Jack Lambert, Earl Campbell in his prime.

Andre the Giant, The Water Boy.

You people are way off the number 1 most dangerous person in sports is "RAY THE MURDERING LINEBACKER LEWIS" of the Baltimore Ravens. Wasn't he aqquited of a double murder case? He had heave evidence against him and was going to jail until someone stepped up and was like "Oh yeah, that was me that stabbed those two people. Sorry for the confusion?"

Ray Mancini. Just ask Duk Koo Kim

Yeah man I will never forget that fight. He was fighting Mancini right up to the very end (literally). I guess there is such a thing as being too tough.

Jim Brown was and still is intimidating.

Ed is the MAN!!! What a hottie!!

4. Ed Hochuli
Sport: Professional Football

Career Highlights: One of the most distinguished referees in the NFL, Hochuli has officiated in several big games: Super Bowl XXXII in San Diego, the 2003 AFC championship game and a Sunday night football game this season in Mexico City, Mexico. He's also the head of the NFL Referees Association.

So, why are his opponents so scared of him? No players mess with this guy. No "three blind mice" jokes, no complaints, nothing. They can't — the dude's bigger than half of them! Hochuli is likely the most jacked up ref/umpire in sports history. He's also one of the most respected. When he's not calling holding penalties and flashing his signature left-handed first-down signal, Hochuli is an active guy in the community and a grandfather of five. He also has a law degree from the University of Arizona. Insert your own clever "laying down the law" joke here __________.

Personally, I think Ali during his time surpasses Tyson in intimidation of his peers. Who would want to fight a crazy, fast, powerful machine that is backed by the mob?

For football, no one tops Dick Butkus for instilling fear into the hearts and minds of his peers.

Computer games , pool , poker and eating aren't sports. I wish fucktard journalists would stop calling them sports, thus giving them self confidence and enouragement.

Sports to me are about blood sweat and tears. Sports are about getting up at 4 am, putting on your sweat shirt and running untill your heart is about to explode. Its about swimming in the pool untill your hamstrings are cramped over. And its about lifting weights till you puke. If you don't break a sweat, sorry its not a sport.

Gaming has always been lumped in with sports. I play pool, darts and poker, but I'm not your average sedentary bar dweller. I like shooting hoops, playing baseball and throwing a few checks too.

Just because I could beat you in a race to ten in 9 ball giving you 8 racks to start, doesn't mean you should hate on my game. And, Dannomight, one of the guys who I shoot with is extremely good and he's an ex-marine with forearms the size of Champagne magnums.

OMG fatal1ty??? He isn't that good anymore as he gets pummeled by a lot of the top Euro gamers now. Whenever he starts losing tourneys in one game, he'll move to another just to keep his ego high

I thought it was pretty interesting to pick those people who have interesting occupations instead of just naming the toughest NFL/NBA/MLB players in the league. nobody would talk about that, so the writer did a good job imo.

have you ever tried competitive eating? it is a physical feat lol. I know the #23 guy, it's gross but it is not easy and they train by stretching their stomachs and it's extremely painful and takes mental toughness in the competition.. it's not just who can physically eat the most, it's who wants it the worst just like most sports :)

also you named a lot of retired people, are any of those athletes on the list retired except tyson?

sport Audio pronunciation of "sport" ( P ) Pronunciation Key (spôrt, sprt)
n.

1.
1. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
2. A particular form of this activity.
2. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.

I'd say everything listed there falls under the definition except poker. game of skill but not sport cause no athleticism. even pool requires require hand-eye coordination and video games hand/eye plus reaction time.

You fuggin' juiceheads kill me :) lol at nobody mentioning bodybuilding or powerlifting/strongest man comp. not being on the list. ronnie is pretty intimidating and they don't discriminate on the basis of voice obviously as Tyson was picked... so ronnie is reigning champ 8 years in a row... unless they think it's fixed or maybe it's because bodybuilders use steroids and other sports don't :mix: note irony.

Roger Federer quite possibly will be the top tennis player in history. It seems unfair watching him play against mere mortals out there. Amazing.

good list.

The discussion of what's a sport and what's not reminded me of NASCAR.

What about ol' ironhead? Dale Earnhardt, in the black #3 Monte Carlo, aka "The Intimidator"

If you didn't get out of his way, he'd put you and your $500k car into the wall.

Now THAT'S intimidating.

i made a Nascar bookie event, better hurry, lummie.

Video games, competitive eating, poker and billards are not sports. Two are games and the others are ridiculous??? Maybe ESPN should show competitive belching??
