I believe that immigration is overall good for America. But legal immigration... America should decide who comes here and who does not.
Look at these unbelievable numbers: 5 percent of American population are 'undocumented' people that no one knows about. Most of them don't carry any American ID. No one decided whether America needs them or not. No one checked their back ground. They just decided to invite themselves here.
If America needs unskilled labor, AMERICA should decide how many it needs and who those people are going to be. ... not just anybody who can jump border. There are millions of people in the world who would love to have that opportunity.
For the purpose of diversity, America doesn't allow (except for immediate family members of citizens) more than 20,000 legal immigrants from any one single country in one year. There are tens of thousands of legal immigrants who are waiting in line for years for their turn to get an opportunity of better life.
On the other hand, almost a million people are walking in every year through our southern border.
There is no other country in the world with similar situation.
The richest, most powerful country in the world cannot secure its borders.
