03 Cobra Vs E55 AMG *bad ass vid

Those AMG cars are so amazingly fast.

I test drove an amg C32 (blown 3.2 V6) and let me tell you. it was faster(more torque everywhere) than the M3, S4 (2004 4.2) and any 911 that i've driven. from what i have read MB built it to be a scream machine up until 120mph.
 
i don't know how fair that race was anyway? think about it. the e55 has traction control and shit, the cobra (with the terrible driver) needed better traction off the line. from what i could tell in the 2nd race the cobra was pulling on the e55. but then again that wouldn't make sense cause the mb has it in horsepower if i am not mistaken
 
yea the cobra doesnt stand a chance, neither driver is any good, but you get a good driver and good set of slicks on that e55 it will run high 10's, factory runs mid 11

i heard the new e55 was fast. but that is insane. there are only a handfull of stock cars in the US that could be that sedan.

i think i can name them:

RS6 Audi- is the only sedan that would stand a chance. awd bi-turbo v8 more torque than the e55. that would be a great race.

new M5 with have close to 500hp



other than that:
only sports cars could take it

Yeah, but can you imagine the cobra when it is putting out the same horsepower? It was only putting out around 325 or less. The fully blown and moded cobra that is being sold would eat that thing for lunch.

Both drivers sucked too!
 
why would you say it could take it every time? e55 has more power and a shitload more torque, the fact that the rs6 is a lighter turbo it will take off quicker to about 45 mph but the the e55 will pull and hand the rs6 its own ass on a silver platter
 
Well, a 5 speed is not the best for drag racing and he was lucky on the second round. When I race my stang I usually end up spinning my wheels through 2nd to third. Street tires on oily roads just don't cut it.

An auto is much better.

reasons why an RS6 would crush a e55 in normal condition is simple "AWD"

too much wheel spin from the amg would do it no good in a street race 1/4.

also....i've had 2 bi-turbo S4's. if you were to can the ECU on the RS6 with a chipped version. you would go from 450hp to 525hp

i used the MTM ECU and it took my S4 from 250hp stock to 306-314hp. this is before downpipes and an exhaust. i ran a 13.1 with my set up. people with similar set ups have ran 12.9's before.
 
The guy in the cobra didn't know how to properly shift for a drag race. Way to much pause in beteen shifting gears. He should have been chirping the tires all the way into 4th
 
i love how everyone thinks driving rwd cars with over 350hp is easy. to lauch any rwd car is difficult. shit... much power you spin your wheels and go nowhere..... to little and the engine bogs and you lose time. not as easy as you all might think.

i drive stick fairly well. but if i had to put my money on racing. i'd take an automatic porsche turbo. 11 second 1/4 mile car stock every time. gotta love AWD

Of course but the thing weighs as much as the titanic. My firend works for the only official Lamborgini/bentley/exotic car repair/modification shop in the southeast. He has an entire album of bently's, diablos, etc cars that he has repaired/modified/or refurbished. It's truly an amazing site. I'll have to see if I can scan some of this pics
 
The sound of the RS6 engine is better than sex.
 
i find bmw to be the most impressive. anyone can slap on a blower or a turbo (amg and audi) bmw always makes their rides naturally aspirated. the new m5 is going to be near 500hp v10 no s/c or t/c
