I think it because people see it as a drug and not as a hormone.

What pisses me off the most is that the news is always talking about AS's yet they don't even explain what anabolic steroids are, if most people knew that most AS are forms synthetic testosterone I think they wouldn't see as being some crazy drug that gives superhuman strength as they do now.
