This week I started taking a generic version of Hydroxy-cut. I take one dose first thing when I get up, and I've been taking the second around 3:00 PM because it's about 1/2 way between when I wake up and go to bed. The problem is the last couple of nights I've had trouble falling asleep and...
I had a friend to this a while back. First of all see the doctor and find out what's wrong. Secondly, if it hurts it right now LAY OFF. Focus on overhead work. As sausage suggested, it close grips don't hurt it, try those.
Thanks for the info, Young Guns. That will definately make a difference. I need to put in an order anyway, so I'll plug the numbers and go with a whey / milk combo.
Proteinfactory has a milk isolate powder. It's supposed to be 80% casinen and 20%. I just don't know which type of casinen. The milk powder is more expensive than an 80-20 mix of calcim casinate and whey, but less expensive by far then casinate and whey.
I'm thinking of maybe just a mix of...
In a "ideal" sumo deadlift, where do the shoulders start? I know the form will vary from persion to person, but generally will the shoulders be right over the bar, behind the bar (with the legs) or in front of the bar?
I know the miceller casinen is supposed to be good, but it's like twice as expensive as the casinate. Is it really that much better? Maybe I'd be better off with it and not using the hydro.
I know the milk protein is supposed to be 80% casein. Anyone know whay type that is? It's much...
Depends on you. A lot of really good benchers have very sort arms. As a result they won't go out as far on the bar to get a grip that as porportionately as wide as someone else's.
Just experiment and do what works well for you. It's been so long since I benched I'm not sure I can remember...
I was thinking of getting a mix of:
50% whey concentrate, 20 % casienate calcium, 20% egg protein, and 10 % hydro 520 (still debating the 520...it's awfully expensive).
What do you all think of that? I usually use it as a between meal supplement.
How many of you guys deadlift sumo? I've always pulled conventional, but have wondered if maybe my leverages favored a sumo style dead. I've decided to give it a try for while and see how it goes.
For those who have been deadlifting sumo for a while, any tips?
But a bench shirt will not help make you stronger. If creatine works for you, it will.
I've tried creatine a couple of times and not really noticed anthing, but maybe mine was the cheap stuff. I've heard that about 60% to 70% of the people benifit and for whatever reason the rest don't.
It depends on your leverages. I have a long torso and relatively short legs, so I can keep my back pretty straight when I squat. If you've got longer legs and a shorter torso, however, then you will need to come foreward on the squat. These leverages also make you a better deadlifter by...
Don't wast your money on squat racks. If you're going to spend the cash, get a power rack. Not only are they safer for squating, but it opens up a whole world of things you can do that you can't in a squat rack.
