From what I've heard, static stretching before lowers performance because it causes your muscles to relax. Stretching after is better for flexibility anyway.
Do you do these excercises with your elbows wide or close to your chest? I do bench presses with close elbows and pushups wide, just because I don't know which is better. Are there pros and cons to each way?
OMG you guys must be giant. I have touble squatting 190lb.(which is all the weight I own anyway) with only a 20lb bar. Everyone else here does like 5-700. Am I really that weak or does equipment really make that big a difference(or both?)?
