Im a serious diet coke head. I dropped 26 lbs in the last 3 months while holding onto a good deal of muscle while drinkin 3-4 cans a day. Just keep your water intake up (should follow my own advice) due to the diuretic properites of caffeine.

I have drank enough in the day to kill a small country and have cut down drastically. I was thinkin along the lines that my body will be thrown off if I eat a high calorie meal as opposed to my normal low calorie meal. I just don't want the alcohol to affect this possible benefit.
After dropping carbs for a week do you go back to your normal intake? Do you gain it all right back? Seems interesting maybe I will give that a shot...
