To anyone frustrated with their diet

Hang in there. I started a strict diet / training program in August at 238 around 27% bf. I kept my macros around 40/35/25. Everything was pretty much on point. Cheated once a week. Gave up the booze and if I did it was a few drinks around my cheat (this was tough for me, but Im in law school and booze doesnt help that either so it worked out well). I became frustrated that things werent happening as fast as I would like them to. It seems like in the last 2-3 weeks my body has hit some kind of "zone." Its like my body just gave up on trying to hold onto the fat. Fat is flyin off and I didnt lose too much muscle. So to those who are frustrated, stick with it your time will come. Now i am at 215 at 6'2" not sure of bf but I lost a lot. My journey is far from over but I think it may be easier from here on out.

Good advice, but have you ever thought about going to 50/35/15? That shift can make a huge difference, especially now that you're hitting that time when your body has no choice but to get the fat off.

sorry but do you mean 50 pro 35 carb 15 fat?

As long as you're getting Omega-3 and Omega-6 fats, it's plenty. Hell I've seen some people go as low as 8-10% fat on a hard cut. Yesterday I had 17% fat with 570 cals composing of fats. I don't like getting above 20% fat, because that usually means you're taking in too much fat that's not O3 or O6.

Is that enough fat? I thought you need fat to burn fat...

Depends on your metabolism. I cannot lose fat anywhere below 25% good fats in my diet . . but that's me.

if your fats are mct's i see no reason why you wouldn't lose bf on a 40/30/30. saturated fat....diff story. at 50/35/15 i think your prob sacrificing too much muscle....wouldn't do that for long

Appreciate the post...

I'm into my third month now and can really feel things starting to happen. Key is to stick with it.. I went one week without loosing too much in the weight column but did see good results with my measurements.

I like ready all the posts here and have been really great at keeping me motivated..
