no no lolll my mates on a routine and for chest he does:
Flat bench 4 sets
Incline Bench 4 sets
Flyes 3 sets
I train with him and have to spot him....he does 10 sets in total...too much or little? Should he reach failure on ALL sets or just 1 set for example
suppose i am supposed 2 do 10 sets for the chest....does that mean that all the 10 sets are to failure? Also how many sets would you recommend for the chest? And if not all 10 sets are to failure, how many are?

a triple is the weight you can handle for 3 reps
so if your bench is 300lbs for 5 reps, on fridays workout you would probably get 305lbs for 3 reps.
The triple is 3 reps then the back off is the 3rd set you did for 8 reps
So assumin you did this:
220 x5
240 x5
260 x5
280 x5
305 x3
260x8...
Session 2 of workout...it stayed the same as previous session and this was because i had to change routine days around so i was doing this session 4 days after previous:
NOT INC BAR WEIGHT...I TRAINED AT HOME AND THE BAR IS BLACK SOLID BUT NOT OLYMPIC
Deadlift: 128lb, 148lb. 168lb, 188lb...
yh 5 but i started this routine last week and fukdd it up tho...so i started fresh yesterday...wont matter that monday and friday have been switched around will it??

Regarding the weights.... for bench 37.5 and 42.5 seems light and only really kicks in on 3rd or 4th set but the last is a challenge...is this how its supposd 2 b? i did 57.5 for 3 reps today and on tuesday do this for 5...
Ive been lifting for bout 4 months but making it propa with a routine....im doing a 5x5 routine...i have got light weights and im not strong at 5ft 11 and 154lbs....i have put on 20lbs in last 4 months

On wednesday on single factor you can either do incline bench or military press...could you do both so:
light squat
deadlift
military press
incline bench
would this be ok as my chest is weak and need to hit this but shoulders also lagging and military press is great exercise?
