    Arnold's "Basic" Training

you do pyramid, but fail on all the sets leading up to your last. Anyway, I got some good gains from it (60lbs on bench in a little under 6 months, not bad) and some good ideas from it too. At first, when I was training with that high of volume for a bodypart 2x a week I couldn't recover...

Old-school weight training book from 1939

training was tough back then. I'd take that over the padded machines and shitty techno (I know thats redundant) music at my gym any day.

    dc training

Let me give you a hint about the DC: After reading it, just like you, I started asking all these questions on this site and no one wanted to answer. I finally figured out to read the original postings by doggcrapp on animalkits.com or something and its a hell of a lot better than anything...

    I hate rest days.

Shit I've done that a few times and I think, "thank god i'm here sweating bullets having a great workout instead of being half asleep in algebra. Anyway, I hate rest days. Not that I'm a great bodybuilder or anything but I just can't resist lifting weight.

so working each body part 1/week really works?

I agree with you T-rage. I used to train 2x a week and I was getting pretty good gains. Since my whole program was based from a guy who took roids (Arnold), and I don't take 'em, my body slowly got used to training like that clean. Still, I have my doubts that training a bodypart 2x a week is...

    Full Chest Developement

flat bench for me is the best for overall development, but I have long arms. If someone has shorter arms bench presses would probably be useless. Still, my inner chest is nothing too great either.

    muscletech supplements (Cell-tech/nitro-tech)!

The money I once payed for Cell-tech was the biggest waste. I actually prefer the dirt cheap GNC creatine mono (21.99 for 200 servings!) The only difference is cell-tech includes the simple sugars in shitty tasting flavors, apple juice works fine for me though.

    Pre workout meals

    How do you Train?

Well, today I just switched from the good old Arnold workout (MOnday-chest & back, Tuesday-shoulders & arms, wednesday-legs, thursday-chest & back, friday-shoulders & arms, sat-legs) to the DC training method. I was doing 16-20 sets per body part, which made me dread going into the gym because...

    Pre workout meals

Since day 1 of weight training I've heard all about the protien and carbs that one needs for a post workout meal, but I still don't fully understand the pre workout meal. I usually wake up and immedialty have some plain bread, juice, and go lift. Is this correct or should I have more carbs and...

Whats the longest cycle of creatine recommended

I took creatine for six months in a row and toward the end it started to really fuck my intestines up (I won't go any further than that). Now that I'm off I'm fine and next time I'll try the two months on one off like mentioned earlier.
