Same here. No music when lifting because it actually distracts me. When I'm doing cardio, though, I need motivation.

If this is the immediate goal then I think I would dial in the diet (reduce cals) and continue the cardio...
After that? Start eating again and killing it in the weight room.

I'll ditto this. I had the same problem and this remedied it.
Also, despite the fact that you don't lace them up tightly, your shoes could still be too tight in the toes.

I'm like you. I prefer black shoes (probably because my feet are huge). Those don't look too bad, though. I probably wouldn't send them back because I would be so happy to have finally received them. Plus, you're just wearing them at the gym...
