i dont know whats going on but for the last couple of months while on cycle and training i'm hearing a crunching sound in the muscle i workout followed by almost unbearable pain. 3 different occassions. First about 6 weeks ago i was doing bench press and crunch! my left pec felt like it tore. took 2 wks off of chest. then i did triceps about 3 wks later, skull crushers, and again heard a crunching sound and could barely move my tricep for a week or two. now TODAY i was doing leg press and the same thing happened in my right quad! i'm currently running 700mg sust and 30mg proviron. stopped masteron 3 wks ago was runing that at 300mg wk for 10 wks. been on the sust for 12 wks. and just started tren A today. WTF is going on here? anyone?

i warmed up on leg extensions for 4 sets. and when it happened the other times it was like my middle to last set...and its not even that heavy of weight either..i dont get it.

that's scary bro...maybe you need to warm up?

Muscles generally do not make crunching sounds.

Tendons and joints do make crunching sounds.

Muscles grow faster than tendons. I know many good bors (including myself) whose strength went through the roof and the tendons didn't get strong enough, fast enough while on cycle. Snap, crackle, pop. Next thing you know you have a torn tendon. I tried to work my way through a bicep tendon injury. If I simply took it easy for a few weeks I would have healed. Dummy me didn't. It took a year to heal properly.

IMO lighten up on the weight. Do an extensive warm-up and cool-down with the affected area. If joins are inflamed use a cold press on the area after working out. Also, use heat and massage in the evening on the area.

Over the counter meds can also help with inflammation. 800mg of motrin for 10 days, including the regimen above, should do the trick.

Also, if you have the cash try some HGH. That helps with repairs.

Deca is also a wonder drug for tendons and joints.

Winstrol is very bad for joints and tendons.

Based on your symptoms though, especially if it is in the middle of your quad, it has to be muscle. Heat and massage with tons of stretching is my recommendation.

great advice bro! appreciate it alot. it makes sense cuz before this cycle i took 3 years off of AAS and didnt really train as intense as i am now. i'm feeling stronger than hell but my tendons are probably weaker still. you think the proviron is hard on joints? i'm stoppin it in 3 days. then just going to run the tren and sust. i will save up and throw in some HGH as well. its the one thing i havent tried yet.

Another excellent post. I'd give karma if I could again. Right on the money. It sounds like stiff, brittle tendons. Unfortunately this happens to some of us to varying degrees. My patella tendons were all but shot before I started Gh. Now just a low dose seems to keep them healthy and nearly pain free! 2 iu per day is enough for me for this purpose. On a side note- when I switched from actual gh to gh peptides I did not get the same kind of joint relief and my knees started hurting again, especially post leg workouts. So, I added in a small amount of gh to my peptide protocol and within a week they were feeling much much better.

How old are you? If you're under 40 or so you'll most likely just be wasting money on the HGH... yes it is great for collagen synthesis but won't do much else for you if you're younger. Just add a little deca or eq to your cycles or lift lighter if you're tearing your tendons, etc.

A couple of thoughts... Back off the training frequency being sure to only train in such a way that affects the troubled areas once per week each. And, it doesn't necessarily have to be muscle even if it's in the middle of the thigh etc. Think about how the thighs, tris etc are set up, not just one single muscle, but there are tendons connecting the individual areas throughout the complex. Or, at least I believe that is how it works (I probably sound like an idiot, but someone probably knows what I'm trying to say...).
