Does anyone know if the NJ Department of Corrections tests for steroids on the employment process? I just need to know facts... Its a urine test. Thanks guys
Highly doubt it, those types of places only test for MJ, coke, heroin, barbituates, etc. Each test costs money and they are going to only test the most relevant street drugs, not roids.
The way drug testing works is the lab has to test for the chemical makeup of each substance requested. Its very painstaking and has to be done that way for each and every substance tested for. They dont just drop a test tube in a hopper and press a button that says "test for drugs"

for anyone that was interested in knowing, i talked to a guard and he said that they dont test for it and could care less, just dont flaunt it around. but thanks again to the EF community for the contribution.

They can perform HPLC or HPGC on a single sample then match the peaks up to those of known drugs including anabolic steroids. However, those tests are very expensive and not routinely done unless it's a very high security job.
