F1 Racing- Japenese Grand Prix

God damn! I think Ill faint if I see DB actually bet his karma, lol.

but i will name a few of yours......hmmmmmm.. weightedreps, latool, grossman and doyle hargraves

like I'm gonna bet on this bullshit! Change the time so i can see who wins first and then i'll max bet.

This race prob airs in fuckin europe 24 hrs ahead of time another trap im positive

thats why you should have made the limit higher. odds are no one will pick the winner. makes it worth the work.

i dropped 3 mil and you're lucky i didnt max bet cause you'd never have gotten out of the red for the rest of your EF career.

I thought you were the F1 Guru.

Noob at betting.

Not a guru, just a fan.

I'm quite certain Vettel is gonna win, he does well when he's on the pole, as long as he doesn't stuff it up. All the penalties after qualifying have put the other contenders at a major disadvantage, and there doesn't seem to be much variation in fuel strategies for this race. So at less than even odds, what's the point of betting big?

I didn't make the odds. I don't even know who these doodes are.

Anyway here's the corrected grid after penalties, and the declared weights. Heavier cars have more fuel and can go longer before the first pit stop.

1. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 658.5kg
2. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 655.5
3. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, 656
4. Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber, 660
5. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 661
6. Nico Rosberg, Williams, 684.5
7. Robert Kubica, BMW Sauber, 686
8. Adrian Sutil, Force India, 650
9. Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 660.5
10. Jaime Alguersuari, Toro Rosso, 682.5
11. Jenson Button, Brawn GP, 658.5
12. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren, 675
13. Giancarlo Fisichella, Ferrari, 661.5
14. Sebastien Buemi, Toro Rosso, 665.4
15. Kazuki Nakajima, Williams, 695.7
16. Romain Grosjean, Renault, 691.8
17. Fernando Alonso, Renault, 689.5
18. Vitantonio Liuzzi, Force India, 682.5
19. Timo Glock, Toyota, n/a
20. Mark Webber, Red Bull, n/a

I think Hamilton and Raikkonen stand the best chance of upsetting the order, especially since they both have KERS-assisted cars and typically advance their grid position at the start. If any of you are looking for an alternate bet to Vettel, that's where to start in my opinion. Of the other top qualifiers, Trulli, Rosberg and Heidfeld are bound to lose position either right at the start or during the race.

...sigh...I know that. I wasn't criticizing you or your odds. Just that it appears to me that the odds-makers agree with me that a Vettel victory has a certain air of inevitability.

By the way, there are only two more races in the 2009 season after Suzuka, and here are the current World Driver's Championship standings:

1 Jenson Button 84
2 Rubens Barrichello 69
3 Sebastian Vettel 59
4 Mark Webber 51.5
5 Kimi Räikkönen 40
6 Lewis Hamilton 37
7 Nico Rosberg 30.5
8 Fernando Alonso 26
9 Timo Glock 24
10 Jarno Trulli 22.5
11 Felipe Massa 22
12 Heikki Kovalainen 22
13 Nick Heidfeld 12
14 Robert Kubica 9
15 Giancarlo Fisichella 8
16 Adrian Sutil 5
17 Sebastien Buemi 3
18 Sebastien Bourdais 2
19 Kazuki Nakajima 0
20 Nelsinho Piquet 0
21 Luca Badoer 0
22 Vitantonio Liuzzi 0
23 Romain Grosjean 0
24 Jaime Alguersuari 0

At this point in the season, only the top three still have any mathematical hope of winning the championship. Vettel looks to improve his standing this week, Button and Barrichello have their work cut out for them. If Button scores five more points than Barrichello today, he'll clinch the championship. That is unlikely to happen after today's qualifying run.

Jeez people someone give Mitch a break and bet against me so that he can at least cover my winnings.

Definitely gotta be Hamilton.

--Starts on clean side of the grid
--Trulli is on fumes, it was a glory run for the home fans
--Has KERS
--Vettel has a history of fucking up his first lap

The other viable bet is Räkä who also has KERS and also starts from the clean side, and is known for his monster starts.

Now that I think about it I wish I had bet on him! LOL!

Anyone staying up late tonight and wanting to get in on some action, race starts at 1am EDT, lasts no more than two hours.

Post qualifying weights and laps to pit.

Some guys are on one stoppers, some on two.

If qualifying was any sign, there will be a safety car.

Lewis and Vettel pitting on the same lap supposedly, but I think the Ferrari engine is thirstier and Lewis can conserve some fuel.

Kimi supposedly pitting a lap later.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Lewis-Kimi 1-2 the lap before the first pit stop.

I think the winner of the race will be pretty obvious by lap 20.

Ah shit I forgot. It's Toro Rosso that uses Ferrari powerplants, yes?

Ah well, whatever.

Now let's see if we can get anyone to bite on Glock...pretty good odds for a guy who's teammate in an identical car qualified second, eh? ;)

Here's the corrected grid. Barrichello seems to have benefitted, once they sorted out the chronological order of the penalties. Glock will not be racing.

1. Sebastian Vettel, Red Bull, 658.5kg
2. Jarno Trulli, Toyota, 655.5
3. Lewis Hamilton, McLaren, 656
4. Nick Heidfeld, BMW Sauber, 660
5. Kimi Raikkonen, Ferrari, 661
6. Rubens Barrichello, Brawn GP, 660.5
7. Nico Rosberg, Williams, 684.5
8. Adrian Sutil, Force India, 650
9. Robert Kubica, BMW Sauber, 686
10. Jenson Button, Brawn GP, 658.5
11. Heikki Kovalainen, McLaren, 675
12. Jaime Alguersuari, Toro Rosso, 682.5
13. Sebastien Buemi, Toro Rosso, 665.4
14. Giancarlo Fisichella, Ferrari, 661.5
15. Kazuki Nakajima, Williams, 695.7
16. Fernando Alonso, Renault, 689.5
17. Romain Grosjean, Renault, 691.8
18. Vitantonio Liuzzi, Force India, 682.5
19. Mark Webber, Red Bull, n/a

Definitely gotta be Hamilton.

--Starts on clean side of the grid

Pole was on the clean side.

-Trulli is on fumes, it was a glory run for the home fans

Or not...

-Has KERS

When it works...

-Vettel has a history of fucking up his first lap

Or not...

The other viable bet is Räkä who also has KERS and also starts from the clean side, and is known for his monster starts.

I thought so too but he was not a factor.

Some guys are on one stoppers, some on two.

One-stoppers were not a factor today after the grid was shuffled with penalties.

If qualifying was any sign, there will be a safety car.

Near the end, didn't really affect race outcome.

Lewis and Vettel pitting on the same lap supposedly, but I think the Ferrari engine is thirstier and Lewis can conserve some fuel.

Vettel had a healthy gap, and went a lap or two further than Hamilton.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's Lewis-Kimi 1-2 the lap before the first pit stop.

Nice try. :)

I think the winner of the race will be pretty obvious by lap 20.

Or by lap 2...

Six more points in the next two races is all Button needs to secure the WDC.

If Deebs hadn't been a K joo, you'd have lost some Krama. I'm calling Deebs, Cane Jr. from now on.
