so i always felt like weed lowers your test levels i dont know if thats true. do you? and what would you guys who really know your shit say about smoking pot while taking a cycle it helps with repetative motion and i think makes me work out harder. but if its just declining hormones then it cant be that good, anyone ever really looked at this or any personal experiences?
 
Honestly I smoke it everynight before I go to bed and I feel no negative effects on my gains. It does lower your test levels from what I've read but nothing too major. Plus it helps you eat more food:jenscat

Agreed, I don't do the shit every night or anything but it's hard to get out of my life as I sold it heavily as a young teen and did all that stupid type of shit so it's hard to get away from I have a nice joint every now and then probably once every two weeks no bong hits or pipes anymore like I used to as a teen.

One mod once warned me for saying stuff like this, not giving advice on anyone to do this it's just my past experience but weed made me hungry, it's not a myth that weed does that but it really made me hungry and destroy the closet which is good on a test/deca or test/tren tren/deca cycle whatever.
 
Nothing like a little puff every once in a while. Won't effect you at all.

Now being a complete pothead might. I dunno.
 
yea i feel it has some great affects on how i can handle stress and just be in the moment, i actually have a my card and can get very good stuff on a regular basis. i agree moderation is the key. and i think it can help with the urges to rip peoples heads off when on and off.
 
Your test on cycle is through the roof so a little weed is not going to lower it enough to even notice anything. I smoked all the time when i was on. I made GREAT lean gains, i stopped smoking though it got a little addictive to me.
 
i've been clean for a while now but i used to smoke it everyday with my ex.... besides i think i heard something about professionals using it to increase their appetite in a "more natural" way. i love the stuff but i'm now on probation for other stuff so i don't take any chances. it kinda sux because i don't drink so i don't have anything to "alter my reality" hahaha. i've started doing meditation... of the topic but it's pretty relaxing and i feel like i'm getting good enough to sort of make my body feel like i have a good body high going. it doesn't compare to working out though, weights.... those are my drug of choice. live it, learn it, love it.
 
From my understanding it lowers testosterone production, isn't that right? So, while you are on cycle and your GnRH is super low, you won't be producing much, if any testosterone. Therefore, exogenous test supplementation + weed shouldn't hinder gains.

More concerning is its effects on estrogen from what I hear. Can anyone shed some light on this?
 
I'm am advocate for medical use, I also think most of the hysteria is bullshit - but not all. It's no safer than a cigarette - look at the chemicals in fertilizer and look at the lifespan of the marijuana plant and it's clear to see you smoke a lot of the crap that's in the bottles. Also more resin/oil means more tar, big fat joint, no filter, you hit it like it's your last breath everytime.. It will catch up faster than cigarettes. It does raise estrogen, I don't think it effects testosterone. Regardless, I smoke half an ounce a week..I've been doing so as far as I can remember. I'd rather skip out on a week of shots mid-cycle than my morning/noon/night doobies. It helps me in so many other ways, mood, disposition, focus, anxiety, controlling my anger. It does affect my ability to work in the sense that some types of mj give me more ambition for the couch than for life. Luckily I keep changing it up.

Not sure on the test, but know for a fact its proven to raise estrogen.. Prob why you pig out like a fat chick when you smoke it.
 
yea you can tell there is a definite effect on your estrogen and test levels im sure there has been studies done. but sometimes when i smoke i just feel i gues feminine your not as likely to be aggressive and you will develope breast tissue from smoking pot so it must do something to increase estrogen or block t
 
my workout routine is lift heavy for a good hr half, hit the "office" for a quick smoke break and then go bak to the gym and hit the pool for 30 minutes.....

weed is an anti inflamitory which helpswith your muscles right after you destroy them in a good workout.
it is deffiniatly not for every1 but in moderation it wont hurt anything or hinder any gains.

nothing like a smoke right after that workout on chest day i feel amazing!
 
wouldn't raising estrogen (from anything) mean that you're losing test? i mean, without test there can't be estrogen right? that's why dht's are used for breast cancer treatment instead of testosterone i suppose.
 
well i know we cant be talking about rec drug use but i feel this can be the exception as it is legal for me to use and is treated as a prescription medication. i hope we can stil discuss the effects on the body as it pertains to bodybuilding and steroid use.

Weed helps with recovery, appetite and the aggression that inevitably comes with PCT and high amounts of AS. I'm not sure why it's still illegal. THC pills would prevent tar and resin build up in the lungs.

Ive seen it on both ends but something ive seen thats common is that it kills motivation and often makes people lazy.

I think that is a stereo type. Sure abuse does have side effects just like AAS, booze, pills etc...

Moderation is key. Use it, don't abuse it. I believe in personal choice. As a medication, it has improved quality of lives and even saves lives.
 
I have a smoke now and then and every thing fine my only advice would be not to smoke before you train it can kill your motivation. Have a google at a legal high called: kratom it can realy give u a good long energy boost and makes long hard training sessions a lot easier

I don't know if weed DIRECTLY lowers test levels, but it sure as fuck makes me lazy.... I think it does to most people. When you're stoned and feelin lazy it's hard to do much more than eat, watch tv, or play a video game.

People that smoke a lot of dope probably have lower test levels in research studies because they don't work out regularly. The lack of regular exercise is probably more directly responsible for the lower test than the activity of smoking alone.

It's a cause vs. correlation issue.

If I smoke a lot of dope one evening it's pretty much guaranteed that I won't go to the gym. If I have a bag of weed, my productivity in everything drops to about half.....

Upside of dope is that it will help you maintain a high calorie diet (something I have no trouble with on my own), downside is the laziness.

i dont think its a rec drug, its legal in some places so it def has some place in some users.
 
Usage other then under the care of a MD is illegal. Also, it is not legal, even as a medication, everywhere so we need to drop it. A grey area, I know, but no need to push it.
 
from experiences from my friends that do it i dont EVER wanna do it im totally again marijuana thats just me but I heard it gives u major munchies and all this talk bout it being used for bodybuilding im not sure but the munchies are complete junk that should be avoided.. correct me if im wrong im open minded bout it thats just my friends exp with pot

Munchies exist, but aren't a ticket to scarf down a whole DQ cake and bucket of Fried Chicken.

Without the munchies, for example, I'd never be able to eat a full POUND of 4% fat, unseasoned, ground beef while in keto... For example.

I've had some of the best workouts of my life on it... Something about having the music+weights in thy state of mind that just get me going
 
I used to love working out on it when I was younger. But now it just makes me so lethargic in the gym that I don't do it anymore.
 
A 2 yr old thread resurrected. Ah , the power of weed...... from personal experience, better than alcohol on cycle but just not my cup of tea. many bbr's have used it w/ great success but i don't like being more paranoid and stupid than I already am.
 
I worked out high for years and years. It seemed like alot of people around me were doing the same thing. I liked how it seemed to improve my ability to zone out into my set and focus on one thing with great intensity. The only reason I stopped is because I started getting real bad panic attacks from it. I really miss it, actually.
 
guys we do not discuss rec drugs on here. if you want to be serious about bodybuilding then you need to cut out rec drugs and keep alcohol to a bare minimum or not at all.. I don't care if your 'friend' is a pothead and can bench 500 pounds. he would bench 550 if he would be more dedicated to health and nutrition. I'm not against pot, I have tried it before years ago and I couldn't care less if people want to waste their money on an overpriced herb to inhale.. but we have rules on here and my job is to enforce the rules.
