Has anyone ever been to a NEw Age type restaurant?

Trendy gets it's rep by two ways... celebrity citings and food.... generally not both simultaneously or neither. I've never gone trendy but I am aching to try something using liquid nitrogen. (Big Food Network fan here :D )

Food network is my favorite channel, and I LOVE to cook. I decieded not to go to culinary school at the last minute and most days regret that decision.....oh well.

But yes, ever since having seen one of these new age culinary masters on Iron Chef, I had always been intrigued to test it out.

So each course is one bite?

And I thought '80s Nouvelle Cuisine was silly.

You can get the 8, 12, or 24 course set-ups. yes, i believe each to be about one bite in average. However, having read a bunch of different reviews many were full halfway through. 75th would be better able to answer that question.

wtf is Nouvelle Cuisine? I think you are trying to make fun of me but I am not bright enough to figure it out and I don't want to google it.

Was it worth the price tag though?

Charlie Trotters and/or Tru > Alinea

Tru is run by one of the past Top Chef winners (my wife and I love that show which is why we went).

If youre going to drop that kind of coin go to one of those two restaurants.

FYI, dont bother with Sixteen in the Trump Tower. Not worth it, in case you were wondering.

And yeah, a 12 course meal will be more than enough.

i think they had a men's health article about the chef there because he got tongue cancer and lost most of his ability to taste. so yea you should go there just to mock him about the irony
