You have to be out of your goddamn mind to want to climb that mountain. Even more so after you watch this show. It is common to climb over dead climbers... the one guy who went snow blind is pretty damn scary as well. It is actually sunburn of the cornea caused by the strength of the UV rays near the top of the mountain! The guy lost his glasses for twenty minutes and he went blind. That guy said climbing the mountain was nothing like what he thought it would be... fug that!

most of the danger is at the very top (death zone)

it is pretty crazy, but lots of people do it yearly. it depends what route they take, but the common one for tourists is fairly safe.

Watch the show. They just passed a dead guy and the guy who went blind looked like his eyes were sealed shut. I don't believe there is a safe way afte rseeing the show. The death zone is called that for a reason. You get a cold at that point and yer done.

i's tv. they're going to overdramatize everything. i've read quite a bit about everest

now, it's obviously not a picnic...and bad things have happened, but tv is always goign to make it look worse than it is.

it's common for bodies to stay there. they can't transfer the corpses. could have been from years ago. pretty difficult for bodies to decompose at a normal rate at that altitude. not much bacteria can survive

A guy died while they taping. This woman was very upset. Watch the show and then come back. I undertsand it is TV, but someone died and someone's eyes were FUCKED up.

If people are willing to lose a toe, ear, nose, limb, etc to climb a mountain it's going to be rough as hell. LOL @ CW saying it's not that bad. The elevation at base camp will start ficking with people. The peak is at the same altitude that airliners cruise. It's a completely lethal environment and the weather in unpredictable. Read Into Thin Air. Some of the world's most accomplished and experienced climbers died up there in one trip.

I would like to go to the first base camp but I don't have any desire to go higher than that.

I searched youtube thinking maybe someone put up parts of this show...and found some fuct up stuff

never did find this particular show though

I highly doubt mere tourists climb that summit.
