It sounds fucked up but I wonder how many times the cop had heard that excuse.

Just being a professor I have heard all kinds of crazy excuses. I had a kid say her aunt was in the hospital with a heart attack and dying and she had to miss the test. I did give her the benefit of the doubt and excused the exam. She tried to get out of the final by having her mom call me because she was violently ill. I told her mom that the syllabus said no make-ups on the final no matter what. The girl, who lived 1hr away, made it to class in 30 minutes and looked perfectly fine. I put 1 + 1 together and called back the mom and chatted, then ended the call asking how the aunt was doing. The aunt never had a heart attack.

1. They were stopped AT the hospital
2. The nurses came out and verified the mother-in-law was dying

Sounds fucked up, I bet he feels like a read dumb ass now. He went too far by threatening to take him to jail.

Isn't there a distress signal of putting a while towel hanging out your window while driving for these situations? I think there is, anyone know?

I guess the moral of the story is, when something is happing your best bet is to only go as fast as the law allows....too risky if you were to be stopped

ugh. I watched the video. He was AT the hospital...he could have just let him go. He was being a dick. "shut your mouth". talking down to him like he was a child

maybe this will piss you off.

Army vet billed $3,000 for war wounds - CNN.com

Pretty fucked up!

"Dallas police have dropped the ticket"..Yeah gee thanks. That is lovely, can they also bring back his mother in law?

That cop should have escorted him to his mom in laws room and dealt with the ticket after. NoT to mention the fact that the person does not need to be present to receive a ticket, the cop could have mailed the god damned thing to the addy matching the license plates.

Cop should be fired!! No excuses. BUT he wont be. Crooked ass departments.

sounds to me like the hospital was over billing what the VA wanted to pay.. if the doc was outraged, he should donate his time..

there is way more to the story than what is written in there..

but hey, they way it was written, it sensationalizes or shows the military in a bad light.. not the hospital, and that's what they really wanted now wasn't it??

The thing is we do not know all of the facts in these situations. You get one side of it - the side that the press wants to support. Am I pissed a vet had to pay a medical bill? Depends on the circumstances.

Just like that article the other day the NYT had (which was posted in this forum!) that covered the 13 year old girl getting strip searched. It made her out to be an innocent angel. I read the Supreme Court brief and the article was a complete white wash - a total fucking lie.

Yes the nurses came out but that was after the initial stop. If someone runs a red light and the law says you write them a ticket you write them a damn ticket. The article doesn't say jack shit about how the family acted when they were stopped. Did they try to politely tell the cop that they had a relative dying and they needed to get in quick? Or did they overreact and give the cop a ton of shit, yell, and harass him?

Plus one side says the cop was points guns at them and the cop says he didn't. Right off the bat their stories don't match.

100's of cops get shot every year because people give them shit, jump out of the car, and then they try to kill the cop. Put yourself in the cops situation, he is a guy who encounters shitbags non-stop, they lie to him, some want to kill him, and now you have a car filled with angry people yelling, jumping out of the car and so on.

I guess I am the only one who can look at this objectively.

I've been through similar (yet not as bad treatment) with the VA. I've paid my own bills before because I know the system doesn't work.

Am I pissed? Nope. There is a system. He will appeal and it will get paid for by the VA. The system sucks, it doesn't work efficiently, but what the hell is one to do?

Obama wants to make vets like him pay for their own war related injuries anyway. Although the bill didn't get passed it was on his agenda. I do not expect it to get better. It never will.

Just saw a clip on ESPN where the Dallas police chief just verbally smashed the officer. Suspended with pay at this point.

On another note, I don't believe much in the press. Almost EVERY time I dig deeper than the story I find out there is something else going on. It doesn't matter if it is a liberal rag, a conservative rag, a libertarian rag - they are all rags.

The only good thing is if I know which side the news is biased on I can open my mind and look in the other direction so I know I am not getting brainwashed.

Why was that article on the hospital incident written that way? To get people worked up and to blame the cop. The sad thing is 90% of the people who read that article are going to be brainwashed and walk away with the wrong impression, they will carry that belief with them, and they will use it as a foundation to evaluate similar situation in the future. They are being conditioned like Pavlov's dog. Salivate at the ringing of the bell. Get angry when a cop pulls you over. This is the root of all evil in our society. As a nation we have lost our ability to objectively analyze facts.

Am I saying the cop was right? Am I saying he was wrong? The truth is I don't know. I was not in his shoes. I know the article is biased and doesn't reveal all of the facts so I cannot make an informed decision. I do recognize I can look at the event through the eyes of both parties. I simply leave it at that, without any emotions attached, and with the knowledge that if a situation like that arises in the future, I need to base my decision on the unique set of facts that surrounds the event.

I knew some jackass would jump in and defend the cop right away. The shits on tape! Another cop even showed up and told jerkfuck to ease up.

My post:

Am I saying the cop was right? Am I saying he was wrong? The truth is I don't know.

Your reply:

I look at my post wondering where I said I support the cop. Hmmm...don't see it.

Am I saying the cop was right? Am I saying he was wrong? The truth is I don't know.

The lesson learned here:

... we have lost our ability to objectively analyze facts.

You have proven my point.

Perhaps you should contact Mr. Robert Dutu. He likes people who cannot think for themselves.

I guess I am the only one who can look at this objectively.
To me the fact that you consider yourself to be the only one looking at it objectively only clarifies that you are not.

Shit like this makes me wonder why people enlist.

As for the cop, if he sees someone roll a red light, he has every right to stop them and go through whatever the normal procedure is for writing up a ticket ON THE SPOT. He COULD have made a judgement call and followed the guy up to the room and given him his ticket there POSSIBLY, but was under no obligation to do so.

What if the second you pull the people over, they yell at you, one jumps out, and you get harassed? You going to be polite or write a ticket?

You blame the cop. I blame nobody. I don't rush to judgment. I can't. It is wrong to blame anyone based on a news article that doesn't go over all of the facts!

I refuse to go through life judging people when my judgment could be based on misinformation. Look at what happened to those kids at Duke and the alleged rape. Their lives were ruined because everyone assumed they did it.

Fuck it, lets just crucify the cop based on a news article. That is really objective. In fact, I am going to make all of my judgments in life based on what other people tell me. Especially the news. I am going to watch Faux News or CNN and base all of my decisions in life on what they report. That is really objective too.

The full video is on CNN

Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com

After watching the video, I am now of the opinion that the cop was being an ass. The guy was not belligerent, he was simply stating what was going on. The cop was on a power trip.

The Moats family, who are black, said they can't help but think that race might have played a part in the white officer's behavior.

I'm just as skeptical about media reports as AV & bino.

I watched the video, & I thought the police officer carried himself well. "Shut your mouth" & "I can screw you over" is hardly power tripping, the officer is trying to reason with Moats to calm down.

The facts are - to the cop - the police officer sees someone jumping a red light, hauls them over only to be confronted by a bloke who has no insurance details to hand & a degree of belligerence in his attitude while having passengers walk away.

Hindsight is 20/20. Pity they don't release the hundreds of videos of officers making the right call when the vehicle occupants offer outlandish excuses when they're hauled over for illegal / reckless driving (Maybe they do, it's all on those cop TV shows).

that really isnt the whole video is it.

Did it show Moats running the red light, NO
Did it show Moats not stopping after the cop turned on his lights and tried to pull him over, NO
which forced the cop to follow him for over a minute before he stopped, which fleeing is a crime too
Did the video show Moats wife not listening to the cop and running into the hospital instead of staying in the car, which could have gotten her tackled, arrested, or possibly shot
Did the video clarify that Moats could not locate his insurance information, and told the officer to find it himself

I feel bad for them, they lost a family member, but that does not excuse them from commonsense, such as obeying traffic laws.

Would it have mattered if they had just waited the 30 seconds for the light to turn green?

Yes, the cop does seem like he was being a dick, but, he also was trying to do his job.

It's bad enough people hate cops, and celebrate when they die. Shit like this doesn't help. Lemme guess 25 y/o fresh out of the marines, chip on his shoulder, needs something to prove, bad day with the gf, and ticked off.

Raise the pay and standards for cops - and we don't see this kinda shit. But society doesn't want to pay $150,000 a year for cops with degrees instead of inexpensive trained killers fresh from warzones. So this is what you'll have to deal with.

r

When my alarm system went off once wehn I was at work, on my way home, I stopped at a red light checked traffic....then went right through it. (dumbly not seeing the cop directly behind me lol) I was pulled over and released right away and not given a ticket.

Your the only one that can look at it like a prick. Cops are not some holier than thou job. COPS ARE LAZY FUCKS WHO WANT EARLY RETIREMENT AND GOVERNMENT BENEFITS. You want a hard job go be an ironworker that puts up the buildings we all live/eat/work in every fucking day that risks his life to do so. If it was me I would have walked directly into that hospital and directly up to my mothers room. He would have to shoot me in the back to stop me.

And why don't you watch the video before you post this diarrhea. You can see for yourself exactly how the family acted, which is a hell of lot nicer than 99.999% of the population would have acted in that same situation.

fug off you piece of juvenile shit, cops are hardworking underpaid people. if you wanna be a ironworker go right ahead, leave the real tough jobs to bros who dedicate themselves to real public service.
go sag your pants, listen to hip-hop, and work fast food typa jobs, cause that's all you're ever gonna be mr/tough guy

When one of your closest people is dying let's see you stop at a red light and go the speed limit all the way there. "following commonsense laws" Give me a fucking break. The world is grey bro not black and white.

I can't even believe you post this shit.

I agree that some cops are nuthin more than pricks, but why don't you trying doing a job everyday where every fucking punk or perv you stop or get in the mix with could be your last. See where your stress level is at. Unless you have put your ass on the line daily like a cop or a soldier then you dont know that, feeling, do you? So you need to be the one that stops spewing shit from your mouth about how all cops are lazy fucks. If your a iron worker thats a hard enuff job, but not a whole lot of chances of getting your freaking head shot off on a daily basis. Thats just garbage and you know it.

hardworking underpaid people. That is a fucking joke. I know 5 police officers and the only one I have any respect for is a member of the swat team in PG county. He is educated and fair. The other 4 hit bennigans every night after their shift, drink a couple pitchers of beer then proceed to drive home drunk in their cruisers.

You want real public service then go be a social worker trying to help orphaned kids and broken homes. Handing out traffic tickets isn't public service, its just another tax.

i work in public service along with law enforcement...it's a hard job with hate coming at you everyday.
handing traffic tickets may seem like a dumb thing to the untrained and ignorant mind (u) but it is very dangerous and a lotta cops die on the hwys from traffic injuries and from getting shot/attacked.
fortunatly, writing speeding tickets is but a small part of being a police officer...

And you thinking cops are putting themselves in "the line of fire" everyday is also garbage. 99% of all cops work in small towns and their entire job is based around writing traffic tickets and doing domestic violence work.

You want some numbers to back it up? In 2006 there was ~655,000 police officers employed in the United States. You know how many died that year? 58.

You do the math and tell me how dangerous that job is.

and document your stats, i call bs and 58 is the number killed by gunfire alone

AHHH did your mommy run off with a cop and leave you and the old man all alone or sumthin ? Or did the girl friend have to work off a traffic ticket the HARD WAY ? Sumthins gotta be fueling all this hate for cops bro. And yea tuff guy what do you do for a living?

Would it have mattered if they had just waited the 30 seconds for the light to turn green?
Considering the woman died while they were standing outside getting grilled by the cop, that 30 seconds was A LIFETIME. The last 30 seconds you get to talk to your loved one EVER. I bet you would make it feel like 30 minutes.

There's something else unspoken here. When the cop tells Ryan again to go get his insurance Ryan walks around to the far side of a darkened vehicle. Not only does the officer not follow to keep him in sight, he actually turns his back to talk on the radio. Those are not the actions of a cop who is worried something is gonna go down. That's a cop who is 100% in control of the situation.

People have zero idea what these guys go through on a daily basis. A really good friend of mine was first on scene to this yesterday...

washingtonpost.com

I just so happened to call him after the fact to BS. Anyone wanna know how that conversation went?

Me: Billy, you comin to the gym tomorrow?
Billy: Nah, im on nights starting tomorrow.
Me: Thats sucks man
Billy: Yeah. Hey you watch the news?
Me: No. Why?
Billy: I was first on scene to Double homicide
Me: NO SHIT?
Billy: No shit. I thought i was gonna have to actually shoot someone today.
Me: Damn man, im sorry.
Billy: Dude there was blood everywhere. WTF is wrong with people?
Me: I dunno man. Its a sad world we live in. You gonna be all right? Wanna grab a beer or somethin?
Billy: Nah, im headed home to get my boy and play with him before i start nights.
Me: Alright man, gimme a shout.
Billy: Cool. Ill see ya sunday.

This guy does his job everyday. Without fail. He deals with scum so we dont have to. Do people cut him slack when he makes routine stops or when he makes a mistake? No. They give him shit about a ticket when they were in clear violation. Or expect him to cut you slack when you make a mistake! This guy had to see what he saw and go home and spend time with his family as if nothing happened that day. Sometimes they honestly just get fed up. Fed up with people like that. Did that woman or man say officer im very sorry. We were in a rush my mother is dying and paused for a response? NO! She got of her car and started acting like the world revolved around her!

Am i defending the officer in that video? No. But like AV said, Im not defending her either.

He lives in dirt hole PG county.

Based on the rant that follows your comment I do not think I am the one that is a prick.

I've lost numerous close friends who have selflessly served their fellow American citizens. If you want to personally attack me and them then you have just opened the gates of hell.

First of all, I didn't say anything to you or about you strongbow, so if you want to come with insults then I'm not the one you need to call juvenile.

Secondly, I have hate for people that blindly support cops just because they are cops. Like I said before the world is grey not black and white. And for anyone to make excuses or support this particular cop after watching that video, I do in fact have hatred for.

Thirdly I am an ironworker and I do put myself at risk everyday, just like the other 50 people working on a construction site at any particular time.

You obviously haven't read all of the posts in this thread. all you have done is make personal attacks against people here and against police officer. I would copy and paste my comment where I stated I didn't support or condemn the cop but why bother? You'll just continue with your immature personal attack.

You have some issues you need to deal with.

I'm not entirely sure what this has to do with anything  why would he be worried that something would be going down if he's just routinely processing someone that jumped a light / additionally risk fueling the situation by drawing his fire arm & acting in a more aggressive manner when it didn't demand it.

No one is simply excusing the behavior of the officer in question. And to say you have hatred for anyway also simply based on them showing support for the police or even this particular officer shows some form of ignorance.

Part of the problem is you are trying to marginalize Moats bad behavior, yes, he acted badly. You say the world is grey, and so it is, but that does not give people the right or an excuse to break laws

As well if the world is so grey, then they are all at fault and no one is to blame.

But more than that, the REDSKINS are gonna suck again this year:)

I read your comments, you never even watched the video before you posted your replies. You felt the story was media biased and didnt tell both sides of the story. If you had of watched the video before your first post then you could have done exactly what you said "people these days" don't do: objectively looked at the situation.

Had you taken your own advice then you would have seen that cop was obviously in the wrong and should have never acted the way he did.

I'm not entirely sure what this has to do with anything  why would he be worried that something would be going down if he's just routinely processing someone that jumped a light / additionally risk fueling the situation by drawing his fire arm & acting in a more aggressive manner when it didn't demand it.
He pulled out his gun when he first got out of the car. If he has the situation under control why not give the guy the benefit of the doubt and go inside the hospital with him?

I knew some jackass would jump in and defend the cop right away. The shits on tape! Another cop even showed up and told jerkfuck to ease up.

yep, the dude was just flexin......plain and simple. The fact that they were stopped AT the hospital and the wife "RAN" into the hopspital should have CLUED THE CUNTLICK into something. Who gets chased by cops and than bails to run into a hospital where there are MORE COPS......???

It's on tape..........and yeah I knew the usual brigade of EF'ers would show up in here and fluster and bluster about "we don't know the specifics" and "you never know what's going on with these niggers" blah blah blah.

I've been under the impression that being a police officer required a college degree, I'm really wondering if some dept's around the country might be waivering that requirement.

DT, compassion will dictate the need to feel sympathy for this family, and most will by putting themselves into this situation.

What I can not understand is this. They were at the hospital early that day and decided to go home. If the mother-in-law was that close to dying why did they not stay there, why go home.

There was bad judgment on both parties involved here.

Sorry I keep missing it. How many seconds in to the video do you see the officer with his weapon drawn & aimed?

fug off you piece of juvenile shit, cops are hardworking underpaid people. if you wanna be a ironworker go right ahead, leave the real tough jobs to bros who dedicate themselves to real public service.
go sag your pants, listen to hip-hop, and work fast food typa jobs, cause that's all you're ever gonna be mr/tough guy

Hardworking underpaid:verygood:

I wouldnt care if my mother in law died.

J/k lightening the mood n hurr

I'm just as skeptical about media reports as AV & bino.

I watched the video, & I thought the police officer carried himself well. "Shut your mouth" & "I can screw you over" is hardly power tripping, the officer is trying to reason with Moats to calm down.

The facts are - to the cop - the police officer sees someone jumping a red light, hauls them over only to be confronted by a bloke who has no insurance details to hand & a degree of belligerence in his attitude while having passengers walk away.

Hindsight is 20/20. Pity they don't release the hundreds of videos of officers making the right call when the vehicle occupants offer outlandish excuses when they're hauled over for illegal / reckless driving (Maybe they do, it's all on those cop TV shows).

yes it is power tripping bro........big time. If a cop ever say's to you "I can screw you over", you should be happy as pie and just shut your mouth from there on because that cop just wrote you a check for a hefty sum of money.

I was holding my ground on this one, but that cut me deep. Personal insults I can take but fuck did you have to go there.

lol, it's all good bro, I understand you are passionate about the way this cop behaved, I just think perhaps you could channel that passion in a more articulate way.

and don't worry, I was messin about the 'skins, I support them to. Hopefully, Campbell has progressed in the off season.

Sorry I keep missing it. How many seconds in to the video do you see the officer with his weapon drawn & aimed?

I'm not sure it's in the video but every article on the story mentions that fact.

Amazing isn't it? People are still talking shit about the wife bookingi into the hospital when the fact is the mother died while all that shit was going on. Unbeleivable how fucking retarded people are. Someday I hope some asshole keeps some of you from making it to the bed of your close relative who is dying.........if there is a god, this karma will come back to rawdog you in the ass.

And some day I hope you have a relative who is a cop and he trusts people's stories and he gets murdered cause of it.

Emotion > logic is always a great way to go thru life.

I interpreted "I can screw you over" as "I can make things difficult for you (if you choose to continue to be uncooperative)". It comes across to me as just another tool for the police officer to acquire your cooperation & levy his lawful authority over your belligerent arse.

He didn't indicate that he was going to fuck him over as he's still willing to exercise a degree of damage control (for the perp) / compromise / negotiation to bring the situation under control.

no there fucking wasn't dude. Have you ever had a relative that was that close to dying? The hospital tells you it might happen in a few days and to go home and take a shower and whatnot, than they call and tell you it's all of a sudden gotten critical...........there is no ryme or reason to it. STOP FUCKING MAKING SHIT UP AS YOU GO.

r people really talking shit about the wife, I didnt read that. My main concern is that this situation could have easily escalated way past what it already is. Not listening to a cop is not a very smart thing to do.

Emotions were involved, still, cops are trained to handle these types of issues, and clearly he was not listening.

Thats like one of the supporters saying they hope someone headed to the hospital runs a red light in order to get there and smashes into one of ur close relatives and kills them.

I don't think there's a stop sign in all of italy, seriously......they make do.:whatever:

and i bet their traffic fatality rate is higher.
i'll sacrifice some of my personal freedoms to drive like an idiot and not stop at stop signs/red lights in order to protect your family members/friends.
plz extend me the same curtsey or face fines/points/possibly jail time for vehicular death

alright, I just now watched the full video and all of you can jump off a high bridge. TWICE they sent out a fucking nurse to verify what the couple had said. Did you fucking hear the nurse, she told him they had been there 3 times that day. No, all of you can suck a long dick. If the dude was white this probably wouldn't have happened in the first place, but if it did you all would be livid. THis is simply because the dude was black and we all know if a black dude opens his mouth and sound ANY BIT GHETTO, even just slightly, he get's what he deserves....right?

some of y'all need to take a serious internal inventory.

Yes, I watched my father die, but I do not see how my personal story has any relevance to this one.

and yes there was bad judgement on the part of Moats. He chose to run a red light and he chose not to stop when the cop tried to pull him over.

Is it not you who are making excuse for him breaking the law.

What did I make up. They went home, received a call that they needed to come back, Broke the law, got caught, and then we know the rest.

And some day I hope you have a relative who is a cop and he trusts people's stories and he gets murdered cause of it.

nothing to do with emotion bro, watch the tape.......the nurse came down twice. So how exactly is that simply trusting the dudes story.........and they're infront of a hospital for gods sake. Did you really watch the video or just see snippets of it on ESPN? Take the full picture dude.

Yes, I watched my father die,

I find that hard to beleive given your attitude. So, what would you have done if a cop stopped you from seeing your dying father because you jaywalked infront of the hospital? It's the law bro.........jaywalking is serious offense ya know. So put yourself in that position for just a fraction of a moment, "IF" you really did watch your dad die.

The mother dying while the bloke is being held by the police is simply unfortunate for both parties involved. None of this changes the fact that the lives of the living were being endangered with reckless driving.

great, typical behavior, you throw out racism in another post, and then call me a liar. Those are all classy ways to win a debate.

Sure, my goal in life is to go on a public forum and lie about seeing my father die, very insensitive.

A) that has nothing to do with the fact that the officer could have written the ticket and stayed by the car while the dude went upstairs to see his dying relative.

B) apparently early parts of the video showed the car at a full stop at the traffic light, and then went through as there were no cars coming. So the dude didn't cannonball the red light. As much as y'all would like to think that's what happened.

what he would've done is explained to the officer and been agreeable (i.e offer DL and other info up)
upfront and non-confrontational and i bet he woulda gotten outta a jaywalking ticket and been on his way.
now instead if he ran from the cop, hid in a stairwell, and was disruptive, the outcome would be different.

i used to get harrassed/in trouble all the time with the cops for behaving in a simliar fashion...big time chip on my shoulder and always blamed the police and never myself.
took a long hard look in the mirror and numerous embarrassing arrests to figure out that's not the way you work with cops.
swallow your ego and play the game their way or else a lifetime of misery

than your attitude towards a man in the same position is very vexing to me. Answer my original question than, how would you behave towards a cop who was stalling you from seeing your father because you jaywalked? And than you got there too late because of it...???

yeah I saw Moats do none of that. So what was your point? Moat's only fault was that he didn't have his insurance papers..............OMFG!!!!

when are you going to admit what this was really about Bino?

I would have explained myself, but I use crosswalks.

We can throw out hypothesizes all day, like what if when they rolled threw the red light a car just appeared out of no where and a crash happened, or what if one of them made a sudden movement towards the cop when he had his gun drawn.

I would have explained myself, but I use crosswalks.

not if someone had told you your dad was taking his last breaths, you'd take the shortest route between points A and B. All this is does is further reinforce my suspicion that you're not being truthful. You've never experienced that which you say you have............so I'm done, no point in further discussion.

yeah it was about race, obviously white racism.
makes the story so much more sexy doesn't it? plus it provides white guilted saps like yourself a great way to exonerate the sins of our racist bastardly fore fathers.
or something like that
i love u

I didn't say I wasn't speeding to get there. I just said I used the crosswalk. Again, my personal story is different.

later.

Red Samuri must be reading the "Democrate Debate Stratigies Handbook for Beginers. LOL.

I read your comments, you never even watched the video before you posted your replies. You felt the story was media biased and didnt tell both sides of the story. If you had of watched the video before your first post then you could have done exactly what you said "people these days" don't do: objectively looked at the situation.

I did watch the video. The story is still biased.

Just like the story said, the cop pointed the gun at them, I didn't see that happen in the video.

The thing I don't get is if their relative was dying, and they HAD to be there, why the hell did they leave the hospital three times that day and come back.

If my loved one was at the hospital I would stay there non-stop. When my wife went to the hospital to give birth to our daughter I stayed there over two straight days wearing the same shit. I didn't leave her side.

I see you got your copy of George W.'s book on the english language.
George W. is a man, as am I. Notta punk with a grudge on the cops cause i'm a fuck up. When I fuck up and they pepper spray my ass and throw me in the back of the car I don't sit there and wonder why is this happening to me. LIke I said some Cops are pricks, bet theirs a lotta of steel workers that are pricks too. Your a good example of that. But to say your job is more dangerous on a daily basis than a cops makes you just plain damn dumb.Im not saying you don't make a hard working honest living, just that it is not as dangerous daily as a cops. There are lazy ass people everywhere, I bet there are just as many lazy ass steel workers as there are cops. To put every law officer in the same catagory as this dude, who obviously didn't use is head, is being a damn idiot. Hope you don't go to many bars where cops hang out, cause all the bros I know on the force would have a party kicking your ass around. Be Cool dude and don't get pulled over by the cops.

Concerned enuff to break the law, but not enuff to stay their ass there when they had to have known her condition. I wonder if they had made it back while she was alive, if somehow that would have saved her life. Unfortunate anyway you look at it.

Well "your bros on the force" having a "party" kicking someones ass is a sad sad commentary in and of itself.

on a lighter note, the ironworkers i've known/worked with where ballsy.
but dumb as fuck and unhealthy

I dunno, for two weeks when My husband's grandmother was in HOSPICE care for two weeks we and tried to be there as much as we could but you had to go home eventually...they didnt know she was going to actually die until the last couple minutes...she had the death rattle for two weeks...but you never know when someone will pass...Not always anyway. The only person aroudn for her actual death was her son, whos only reason he was there was because of intuition. Gut feeling. None of the workers gave the rest of us any warning.

This is just a bad situation all around. Both parties are at fault. I bet he is killing himself with regret for running that red light.
