I Hate Icon Fitness!!!

My GF bought an Icon Fitness Nordic Track Commercial treadmill from Costco in March of this year. Got it home unpacked it and the incline wouldn't work. So she called them and they sent a new motor. I installed the motor myself and guess what it still wouldn't work. They sent 2 more motors and I finally told them it was not the F***ing motor stop sending new one and send me a new machine... So they send a teck instead and a new motor and a controller board. The tech installed the new controller board and plugged it in and one of the resistors on the controller board burned out...
So the tech orders a new controller board a wiring harness and a new motor. He shows up, installs the new harness found the short in the old wiring harness, installs the new controller board and f+++ if it still doesn't work. He says I don't know whats wrong with it. He says to call Icon and they should send me a new one! So I call them on Monday and they said they need to wait for his email with the W/O notes...
So I called them today and the shithead puts in his notes that I am going to take the unit back and get a new one. I told the poor girl that is BS I never said that. Its not my f+++ing problem you send me a new one. So they put me on hold get that retard tech on the phone and he orders more parts. I told them I don't want more parts. It has now been 6 months paid like 900.00 bucks for this thing and havn't broken a sweat on it.
I hate Icon Fitness...

Disposable equipment, that is what they make. Anyone in the industry could have told you to stay clear. A couple hundred more you could have gotten into a quality home tread.


PS- Icon calls it a "commercial treadmill" but it's nowhere even close to commercial. Commercial treads are $5,000+. Even light commercial treads run $3,000+.

The reason she doesn't need a $5k treadmill is we have one of the best gyms in Cal. just a few blocks away! They have like 100 tread mills 40 bikes and like 4,000 square feet of free weights. The reason she wanted it was so she could roll out of bed and do some cardio and not have to get all girlie just to do cardio...
If she was gonna blow $5k it would be on some paradigms and a JL fathom 113 to rock the house!

You don't need a 5k tread, but you could have at least stepped up to $1,200 and got a good one. $300 more for no headaches, seems worth it to me.

Puddle sorry I read it incorrectly! Hey, far be it from me to try to tell someone what to buy. I told her to buy a used one. 1/2 the price and if it breaks then you know whos house to burn down!
