it can be anything, but its a one moment, fleeting success. something you remember always. i havent had kids yet, so i hope this memory will be replaced by something he/she/they do.
mine is a sports related moment.
we were in a big hockey aaa bantam tournament in lake placid. we werent even ranked in the top 10 in our tier. with 1 minute left we were losing our first game 1 - 0 to the number 1 team in our tier. i was 2nd line and was put out. we went to a man type press hoping for a mistake. i illegally hooked my guy who coughed the puck up. from the top of the circle i ripped a backhander over the goalies catching glove. 8 seconds left on the clock. we went on to take the next 3 games and the championship. i ended with 8 goals and 5 assists in 5 games. my dad still talks about it. i still remember seeing the puck and following through on the shot. i didnt see where it went, all i saw was the ref point and the place erupted. almost 17 years ago.
