CW won't return my PMs

Short bursts of exercise can benefit heart health just as much as tedious endurance training, a new study suggests.

It doesn't say that sprinters are endurance athletes, which is what you were saying. It says that interval trainiing benefits the heart as much as endurance training. Teehee @ your reading comprehension.

such an argumentive cuss you've turned out to be
i admittingly was in a rush and posted the first link i found...though numerous links indicate sprinting is benefical to building and maintaining endurance
i've never played football...but getting hit repeatedly and running up and down the field tens of times i would imagine requires a highlevel of endurance

Yeah contitioning helps build endurance. But there's a huge difference between football players and endurance athletes.

so you wouldn't consider TO a endurance athelete?
or brian urlacher?
or track sprinters?
i would

No I wouldn't. Marathoners, cyclists, and the like are considered endurance athletes.

can we agree that there is different levels of endurance, one pertaining to short bursts and one pertaining to longer bursts?

For 10 seconds at a time?

full bore for 10 seconds, a few minutes rest, then right back at it.
sure, a little different than a marathon (consistent slower speeds) but the intensity imo makes up the slack time
fug i know i wouldn't have the wind to sprint up and down a 100 yrd field, and i can run 15 miles non stop
this is a good debate, i'd like to get some footbalers opinions
