I am in the Medical field, and once had a patient with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease.... He had severe muscle wasting.... He saw that I was obviously into working out, and asked me about steroids.... I told him I don't do them, and wanted no part of that conversation at 1st.... However, the guy was only 42yrs old, and I got pretty close to him... I then told him that I don't do steroids, but I was able to get them if he REALLY wanted them.... I then suggested that he talk to his doctor 1st though. He told me he did that, and his doctor said that anabolic steroids are not approved for his disease. I thought that was such fucking bullshit. How are steroids not gonna help a muscle wasting disease? Well, he changed his mind, and i never got the stuff for him. I think that was a good thing looking back, as I would seriously be risking my job.
I would assume that MS is in the same boat as ALS, steroids aren't approved for it. Only thing I can say, is that I do remember reading a study where Anavar was used to help some muscular/neurological wasting disease... I don't remember the exact disease, but the study did show that Anavar did help the loss of muscle... DUH>>> Sorry I can't be more specific on the topic, it was a very long time ago I read this... Maybe you can do a search and find the study.... This isnt saying you can't experiment on your own if you feel so inclined.... MS isn't as deadly as ALS is, so there are 2 trains of thought there... On one hand, you might not wanna take drugs that aren't approved by the FDA for that specific disease. On the 2nd hand, with a disease that isn't as deadly, there is more room for a quality of life if the steroids work. I'm not a doctor, so I hate giving medical advice...
On a side note. Anadrol is in the PDR (Physican's Desk Reference), and can be prescribed by a doctor. Under indications, it says it increases red blood cells, nothing about increasing muscle mass. I don't get why the medical community shy's away from steroids, even with muscle wasting diseases, when it's pretty obvious they would help. I've seen doc's prescribe some harmful drugs in the ICU setting, as a last ditch effort to save someone's life. Alot more harmful then AAS.... I just don't understand the closed minded thinking.... /rant off....
