stopping protein powders

how come when i stopped drinking protein powders everyday after 5 weeks none of my lifts went down and i am stronger and leaner than before? i thought you need protein shakes? also i am noticing my bowel movements are better and my constipation is gone. what do you guys think is going on?
 
You must be getting enough protein in through your diet without adding a protein powder. Plus, they are processed and terrible on the gut. You will actually feel much better not consuming them.
 
If you are getting enpugh protein you don't need them....jist like you wouldn't need an extra chicken breast. They are a SUPPLEMENT meaning they are to make up what you dont get from food intake. Im not sure how people still don't get this
