So what does this doctor do, puts me on ONE tube of Testim daily! I was on 1.62% androgel before. WTF!? Why are doctors so afraid to prescribe injects? They all push this damn cream!

SO sick of these doctors that are clueless!

They get kickbacks from the cream and implant companies. No kick backs from injectable. My doc is pretty cool with me. When I first went in he offered implants after he found out I was cruise/ blasting he told me he gets vacations paid for by the plant manufacturer.

yeah I thought so. Funny how Androgel is $400 for a month supply but a bottle of 100mg/ml for 10ml only cost $65. Of course they are gonna push the gel. Assholes

My numbers were falling on Androgel 1.62, and I asked to go to the injects when that "foggy" head feeling started to return.

so he put you on injects and allows you to do them?

I put the testim on this morning and the smell of it has been making me nauseous all day! I gotta get the shots! calling him tomorrow.

Called him and advised the smell is overwhelming can't take it. He says try it for a few days and if it continues to call back we will try something else. I like this doc so he will be getting a call in a few days. will update.

Yes, injections are self-administered. My number on the first test after being on cypionate for 2 months was 319, which I think is pretty low. He axed the request to increase the dosage. I am looking for anothr doc now.

What mg a week does he have you on? That seams very low unless you are taking like 25mg-50mg ew. My doc put me on 200mg and said he pretty much will just go by how I feel lol. So I go get blood work when I want he doesnt tell we need it.

It may have something to do with your insurance if you are using insurance. Blue Cross requires injections to be performed by a nurse. Liabiltiy issues. In addition they have to teach you to give injectibles. Sometimes they dont want to do it. Ask the question. I told them it was to expensive for androjell.

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield and they pay for everything of course with a copay.. test c for home syringes and blood work. The only money I'm out is office visits because my Physician doesn't file insurances.
