Endurance athlete question.

Hi guys I a hoping that I might get some information and feedback on an idea I have.

First about me and my goals.

I love cycling and racing and want to do it forever,

I am 43 year old 6 feet tall and weigh 165 in the off season and during the season I drop down to 160 though not by choice because I am most completive at 165. I have had my BMI tested at both weight at it shows up at 6%.

In the last few years I have noticed that my ability to recover from hard workouts and races has diminished. During the season I had blood work done and had a test score of 530 which from what I understand is fairly high for my age and sport of choice.

I do of course cycle and most of my training is on the bike but I do lift heavy once a week in the season and twice a week in the off season.

So now I will get down to what I am looking at doing.

I would like to come into the season with about 5 pounds more muscle than the past. To do this I am considering using Dbol for many reasons and with a lot of research maybe using it with a little twist.

The reason I want to use dbol is that I prefer an oral. The short half life and short detection time. I am also interested in dbol from some articles I have read about using it as a supplement and as a bridge between cycles.

So with lots of reading here is my plan. Using 10mg. Dbol in the morning before workouts 5 days a week with two days off with the hope of using a lower amount in the morning only not shutting me down.

I am also considering using clomid and I know that is totally not recommended but do not understand why. Would clomid not help with the natural release of test in the evening if you are not shut down from a small once daily short acting dose?

This is my first step into ass so the 10mg. Dose may be adjusted up or down depending on affect. Also not worried about water gain since it's off season.

Hope this was not to long and hope some of you guys can have some input.

Thanks

sure I can provide input as a former endurance athlete. dbol will absolutely and positively cripple your endurance times. but don't take my word for it, try it yourself and see. the pumps will be tremendous, the extra water weight and bloat will weigh you down.

I have concerns about the pumps but have read some information that they will not be nearly as bad on the dose I am speaking of. What dose were you taking were pumps became a problem?

Also I did not really make it clear that I only plan on using it offseason so I'm not concerned about the extra water weight when it comes to race time.

Bro I was a cat 2 cyclist for years. Dbol is not the answer at all. If you are looking to add 5 lbs of muscle I am assuming you want the corresponding strength, recovery and endurance benefits to go with it. I would suggest looking at helladrol from mrsupps.com. I always look at the legal route. These are legal but tremendously affective prosteroids. I would suggest taking that for 4 weeks along with hcgenerate followed by post cycle/unleashed. Then using glutamine, and Bridge. Glutamine supports muscle growth and recovery. Bridge maintains test levels. These products can be bout at needtobuildmuscle.com.

If you do not want to use helladrol get an epitstane..again a mild compound with overall phsyiological benefits to support your goals. Creatine supplementation assist with short duration high intensity output and recovery as well. I used this when doing sprint training....

What else can I help with...????

Cannot go wrong with HCGenerate. That oxygen product over Mrsupps look like could aid you endurance as well.

first I would try unleashed. your test level is not bad and unleashed will free it up even more so you get more out of it.

10mg of dbol while riding a bike will not add much muscle.

you will need to switch up your training and diet if you want to add muscle. and make sure you realize how hard it really is to add 5lbs of muscle while doing so much riding.

id try unleashed for a month or two and see what you think. if that isnt doing it for you then i would look into low dose test.. maybe 200-300 mg a week.

if you really are gonna avoid the needle then honestly i dont think it will matter much which one you do and i would forget the idea of trying to keep your test levels while on anything. just do a quick 4 week cycle and then hit up a good pct.

i agree with the above. if you think you can avoid pumps on 10mg only the its not enough to do anything to begin with.

i would guess you wouldn't have pumps at first, but after a week or two they will start coming in for sure. dbol is one of the best when it comes to pumps that i have ever used. only tren ace pumps are worse and those don't kick in for several weeks.

your best bet as an endurance athlete is definately supplements but your #1 way to improve your endurance is bicycle more or run more and push your body. there is definately a genetic element involved with endurance sports, has a lot to do with lung function.

Yeah I defiantly know how hard it is to gain 5 pounds in muscle while doing a lot of work on the bike. I gain the 5 pounds I loose during the season fairly quickly but trying to tag on another 5 has been impossible so far.

Thanks for the input.

I think in some ways that I may have to back off a little when it comes to pushing the body. A few less races a year or maybe cutting back a hard training day a week to try to keep my body from loosing muscle. I race mostly crits and that muscle I loose really hurts me in accelerating. One of the nice things about endurance and aging is the lungs stay with you if you keep training. Some studies even show that an athlete does not reach his aerobic peak until there late 30s so it kind of balances out some of the negatives of aging. Just wish I could have the same kick in September as I do in June.

Thanks for the input.
