Critique my bulking diet?

bananna
fish oil tablets
mass gainer shake

2) jack3d pre workout

3) post workout mass gainer shake

4) pasta or chicken or bread

5) nuts and yogurt

6) chicken breast and rice
Thats my bulk opinions??
 
I would only take the mass gainer post workout. I would intake long chain glucose all other meals (bread, oatmeal, pasta etc...) rather than simple sugars (from the gainer). The sugar from long chain glucose foods are released into the bloodstream at a slower pace and more likely to end up as synthesized protein rather than fat (when you're far from when you did your workout). I would also take a whey protein shake every meal. The amino acid profile in whey is almost a perfect match to human needs. Picture a bar chart with the 20 amino acids, with the heights at how much your body could potentially use in a day. Meat and other proteins have more of some, and not enough of others. But whey matches up almost perfectly.

Maybe calculate out what proportion your calories will come from. Many use the 40/30/30 zone diet (% of calories from carb/protein/fat). I use it as a rough estimator so my proportions are somewhat near where I want them to be (rather than just winging it). Just remember when calculating, protein and carbs have 4 calories per gram, and fat has 9.

I cant believe this is a "mass" diet. Get rid of the shake for breakfast. This is one of your 3 most important meals of the day.

1. 10-12 eggs, whites with maybe 4-6 yolks and 2 cups of oats.

2. Mass gainer shake(which one) pre workout is ok, as long as it aint too far from your breakfast.

3. Post workout eat some solid food. Chicken and rice, beef and pasta or potatos.

4. Chicken or turkey and sweet potato or regular

5. Same as 4.

6. bed time shake or same as 1.

You should be eating every 2-3 hours, and solid food is best. Nuts and yogurt are not a meal. And you shouldnt be eating chicken or rice. You should be eating chicken AND rice. If you want to gain muscle, you need to feed it. If you start getting fat, add a little cardio. It will do you good anyway.

When trying to gain, eat till your full, then eat some more, then when your ready to puke, eat some more.
 
Those are foods you eat when you're dieting.

Chances are you need some calories in there. Don't even bother with egg whites. Hit the all you can eat buffet.
 
Yeah i get it i will start eating alot.
I will have the shake post workout and sometime during the day the rest will be alot of proper food

Your forgetting one of the most important balking essentials beef. Steak and potatoes should be a staple in any bulking diet. You are relying on supplements too much. Yogurt should not be a meal, you can eat it between your 6 food meals. Use supplements as additions not meals.

if u are bulking u need to eat more and not be so worried about putting on some fat..

fuck the shakes..those are for inbetween meals when bulking to added cals and protein
 
get to the root of the problem.. why did you post that as a bulk diet?

Did you not know you were supposed to eat more?
Do you cook? do you have problems cooking/preparing meals?
are you on the go a lot?
is money an issue?

whats the problem and lets solve it.

I put this post up to find out what im doing.
Can you guys give me some bulking tips and a sample meal plan.
I also have trouble getting all my cals in esp if i dont eat some burgers ect.

nothing wrong w/ burgers!

just use good meat.. no fillers.. whole grain bread..

again why arent you getting the cals in?

are you unsure what foods to eat

red meat
poultry
fish
eggs

1 of those should be in all your meals.. min 4 big ones a day.. or 6 small ones.. whatever works best for you..
2 milk.. if you can stomach it... drink a lot of it.. milk + whey is a great way to bulk up
3 carbs.. dont forget em.. whole grain bread, rice, potatoes .. great ways to add cals
4 dairy again if you can stomach it milk, cheese, greek yogurt are great snacks or add ins to meals
5 dont forget your fruits and veggies.. add veggies to meals or snack on fruits / veggies..

keep the questions coming this is how you dial in a great diet

You just asked again, and here it is. I already gave you a sample. You get out of it what you put into it. If you eat like a 90lb guy, you will stay 90lbs. Look at what I gave you and add in a few tips frome these guys. It is no secret.
 
See For me it's not as easy as just eating an assload of food. I'm a endomorph so I have to be careful because my body tends to build fat very easily. So what I do is calculate my exact resting metabolic rate calculate the exact amount of calories I need for work and exercise then from there add or subtract depending on my goals.
4 example right now I am cutting back a little trying to burn off some body fat so I have subtracted 20 percent from my maintenance calories.
Now if I was trying to bulk I would add 20 or 30 percent.
For me cutting and bulking very slowly is an absolute must.
Cut slowly so that you don't burn off that precious precious muscle. Lol
And bulking slowly so that you don't get too fat and have to stop and diet a little.
There are literally thousands of these calorie calculators that you can use for free on different sites.
Www. scoobyworshop.com is 1 that I really like because it does the percentages for you and givrs you exact macros to adjust and gives you a clear example meal and is 100% free.

7am-Ribeye,eight eggs whole,two peices wheat toast w applebutter,yogurt,glass whole milk and glass water.
10am-30g whey shake w water,apple
1130am-Foot long turkey on wheat all veggies,light mayo from subway w glass of water
2pm-Sit down lunch,Chicken breast or fish,veggies, baked potato,pasta salad,unsweet tea
430pm-30g whey shake,peanut butter and jelly,yogurt,apple or orange
6pm-protein bar,water
630pm-GYM
900pm-Mass gainer shake
945pm-Steak/chicken breast,pasta salad,potato,veggies,tea
1130pm-Whole grain and nut cereal
1200am-casien protein

MEAT eat MEAT.. and EGGS both are cheap if you know how to shop.

You are relying way to much on shakes for your protein.

You diet just seems so random,
Maybe you need to structure it a little better.
4 example here's what I'm doing right now.
30/50/20 pro,carb,fat. 2700 total cals
(I am cutting)
Total cals are divided by 6 meals.
I eat at tha same exact times every single day.
7am
9am
12noon
2:30pm
5pm
7pm
And most importantly water with every meal! Water is the only liquid I drink!
That is the basic structure for a beginner's diet.
 
Yep pb&j on wheat is the shit,I run throught the loafs a week,and yeah man like Tom said MEAT,MEAT,MEAT,What you posted as to what you ate yesterday(i have no clue what lental is)is not even a full meal,my 8 yr old little girl doubles your caloric intake easy.If you wanna grow you gotta throw down some serious food.And money its really not that expensive to eat like that,I can eat like that everyday home cooked good quality food for about $300 a month,its all about how you shop.
 
If im about 140 pounds 5,11 how many cals should i be having? 2400 maintainrnce and boug 2800 when bulking? I will try and have 4 big meals a day and 2 snacks.but i have trouble working out calories is in stuff also setting a plan up. Thats what i need help with making a plan??

You're gonna drive yourself crazy trying to count every single calorie when you're bulking, save that shit for when you cut. Just make sure u get 4 big ass meals a day with protein,carbs and veggies and snack on protein bars,nuts,pb&j in between meals and try to get at least a half gallon of milk a day on top of that. The only time you need a shake is pwo. If you're not uncomfortable from eating so much you're not bulking lol. And at 140 the last thing I would worry about is fat. You've got a tone of good advice in this thread listen to it

What the Hell is maccas? Lol...some dirty cals here and there won't kill you but if you're getting all your clean cals in you won't feel like eating much of anything else. If you do then you're not eating enough clean calories

well you're going in the right direction....add some red meat and fish. you should have a nice size serving of lean steak, chicken, fish or eggs with every meal. I like steak and eggs with breakfast. Then just add a healthy portion of carbs to every meal like oat, whole wheat past, brown rice, sweet potatoes those are good option. Then just add some green leafy veggies and you're good to go. You will get your fat intake from the milk nuts and pb that you're eating thoughout the day. Eggs have some fats in them too as well as salmon
