I had read that it could but that it probably wouldn't, well I'm here to tell you it does so heads up. She sent the urine in for further analysis and I showed her the ephedrine so hopefully it will show that's what it is. I don't do drugs so this is the only thing it could be.

IT will always pull a positive for Meth... Ephedrine is the MAIN ingredient in Meth....

Wow that’s good to know as I’m currently looking to change jobs and will definitely be drug tested in my field. Guess I’ll stay away from ECA stack for a while….OP, good luck bro!

It usually won't test positive for meth. Not unless you have taken a shitload and not drank much water. I've taken at least 6 urine tests on days when I've taken ephedrine and never tested positive for meth. Also it's only the dipstick method that has a chance of making this mistake. When the false positive is sent off to a lab they can verify what happened.
Ephedrine is a "substituted" amphetamine and a structural methamphetamine analogue. It differs from methamphetamine ONLY by the presence of a hydroxyll (OH).
You may have gotten lucky. But, I know for a fact it causes False Positives more often than not.

It's been causing Fales Pos. tests for years..... along with pseudoephedrine, propylephedrine, phenylephrine.
