Experience with HGH/Rejuvenation Clinics?

I'm curious to hear from you all about your experiences in visiting HGH/Rejuvenation Clinics. I have been using HGH for the past 12 months, but I would absolutely love to start working with a "legitimate" clinic to eliminate all of the variables associated with obtaining these products using non-conventional means.

Anyway, I'm 32 years old, 215lbs at approx 10% BF. While I acknowledge that I'm in pretty good shape and fairly satisfied with my current physique, I also realize the drastic drop off in natural HGH production after age 30 and would like the assistance of a physician in implementing an HGH program to promote overall health, well being and to slow the effect that aging has on us all.

My questions for those of you with experience are:

1. Is the decision to prescribe HGH purely based on a patient's hormone levels?

2. Do prospective patients who appear to be "in shape" typically get stereotyped as potential abusers or people who don't necessarily need HGH therapy because they "appear to be doing fine without it"?

I realize that the second question may sound ridiculous, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if that was the overwhelming response to this thread.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input!

No i think their reason for prescribing it is that is the business they are in and that is how they make money.

Goin On - thanks for your reply...

In your opinion would it be best to discontinue use on non-prescribed HGH for a period of time prior to scheduling a consultation and required tests? I'm assuming that they have some type of scale which would justify hormone supplementation, and if that is the case, my levels might be a little on the high side right now... ;)

I understand that there are no tests for HGH "abuse" in sports, but I'm assuming that there is some type of blood test done at a physicians's office to determine need for this type of treatment.

Thanks for your reply Bro...

they test your igf levels to see if you are using gh. For the clinic though they will check your IGF levels to see if you are deficient. I don't think they care if you are not deficient, they just want to sell you thier stuff. Have you looked at the price of thier gh? More than likely its 5x chinese!

They do test the IGF levels to determine eligibility. I go to a well known clinic in South Florida. I was border line for IGF levels at age 46. The price was about 8 Bills a month for HGH if I remember right. Not an option for me and not what I was going for. I would say you'll need to stop everything well before testing. The doctor I see seems more concerned with the symptoms your having and how you actually feel than how you look.

HGH/Rejuvenation Clinics is all about how you feel. As you age declining hormone levels can increase the risk of many diseases, cause depression etc. That being said they dont generally treat for lab range results. They treat you with doses to overcome your symptoms (within reason of course).

That being said, they do do regular blood work to make sure everything is in line and the dose they have you on is not causing problems.

I would also recommend stopping self medicating for a few months before going the hrt route. You may also find that at your age you may be hard pressed to get services from an HRT clinic.

This is very good stuff.... I have also found that these labs want a TON of money. Want to do the tests CHEAPER? Go see an interist! My lab bill for Test, igf, thiroid, estrogen (PSA) was 56 bucks! The "HRT Clinic wanted bettween 200 and 400 bucks to test full panel! UNREAL ! They are definately in it for the money. The local internal medicine docs will do it cheaper and write scrips for what you need. (though you have to find one with knowledge in that area...).

Good luck man!

I am going in for my HRT consultation on June 29th. Yes, the blood work cost me $300 bucks. The test will cost at the low end $100/month and could be as high as $250 per month. Here's the good part (in my situation): My insurance covers the HGH with a copay of only $90/month. The clinic also informed me that they charge $85 per month to monitor/"administrate" my therapy. Additionally, I have to go back after 3 months to check progress and make adjustments to my therapy if necessary, after 9 months for the same thing, etc. etc.... I hope this helps somebody.

cool with the GH that is makes the whole deal worth while. Why did your dr say you needed the GH? Most insurance co's tell you to F'off on that script.

Well, this is something I wanted to do for a while. First, let me say that I am a contractor overseas so I can now finally afford it. When I told the doc over the phone my insurance company he recognized them as one who would take care of it. Also, I had a typo. The cost will actually be $90 buck for the GH and the test is the same.
