Animal Pak, good or hype?

Hey guys, noob here, starting weight training this evening, already have my diet setup (bulking diet), going to be starting with 3 days a week....I picked up some whey and casein today, and was wondering about vitamins.

The 2 products I saw were Animal Pak, and Solaray Twice Daily Multi Energy, would you guys who are experienced with both of these products help me pick one out?

My goal is to bulk, this is my 1st time working out, so I want to take whatever is going to work with my diet and my routine to help with my goal. Let me know your thoughts on these 2 products.

Been using the pak for a long time now and it's a great multi-v.. downfall is it's a few pills but you get used to it quickly.

I'm on Animal Cut, and I think I'm starting to enjoy the benefits, I just started CKD too, so its hard to say how much its helping, but I'm def seeing results!

Used animal pak for years and always liked the profile, however it's 12 or 13 pills taken once (sometimes twice) a day. I recently replaced it with Ruthless 3D multi in an effort to cut down on the amount of pills I pop each day.

I never tried the pak. But i was an avid user of animal cuts back in the day when I shopped at gnc...pre-ntbm lol

the animal pak is good, but honestly when I would run it, within 5 days of starting, I'd be gagging trying to swallow the pills, not only from the fact of how many you have to swallow and their size, but mainly the god awful taste a few of them have.

I used animal pak for years and its definitely a good product BUT it is way overpriced and over hyped too.

1 packet has 11 pills in it and this does not constitute a full dose , 2 packs = 1 serving .

22 pills every day just for vitamins....meh ,no thanks.

I am using the 3D multivit from Ruthless and it does the job just fine :)

I looked at these, but they only appear to have a fraction of Animal Pak....?

If there was only something out there with the same or comparable content.

Ruthless Supplements :: Ruthless 3D Multi - Ruthless Supplements

The serving size is 2 packs, but it clearly says(and has been shown to be ok) taking 1 pack a day is OK.

Taking 1 pack a day will be fine, if for some reason you feel the need to take both go ahead.

I understand a lot of people on this board want to support it's sponsors and that's cool but I'm only going to stand by products that I've tried and have known to work for me and I'm damn sure not going to kiss supplement companies asses in hopes to get free shit or something like that.

jontorres; grab some and run them for 44 days and see what you think about them. It's a multi-v that's been around FOR YEARS and you can't go wrong with it. Like I previously mentioned, only downfall is the amount of pills per pack but you can easily swallow 3 of the smaller ones at a time which leaves 3 bigger ones to take individually or double. PM me if you have questions bro or want to know the cheapest place to pick em up at.

Animal Pack is fine, but it isn't the best out there.

If I were bulking and I had my heart set on GNC grade supplements, I would take Animal M-Stack........it's like a nutrient partitioner and a multi vit in one.

Although, now that I have tried Dx7, I think I prefer that over animal stuff.

Ive used it before and no complaints on performance. Quite a few large pills to swallow day in and day out.

understand with animal pak its more then just a multi. it has a bunch of other stuff in it also. Brother is trying it right now. I get it at a discount though.

So for bulking Animal M-Stak is better than Animal Pak?

I thought it was the best out there, but then again, I dont have the knowledge you guys have.

I looked t that DX7 and it has no where near the amount of vitamins and other components as Animal products.

AnimalPak is a foundation to your supplements. Providing you with all necessary vitamins, along with digestive enzymes, liver protection, antioxidants, etc.. I don't think it would be possible to put all of this into just one pill which is why it's a pack of pills. If you're looking for SOLELY a multi-v then choose something else, if you're looking for something that covers the things I mentioned above the use it.

Im actually looking for something with vitamins of course, and that will aid with bulking.

I dont want to spend money on the wrong product if animal pak isnt it, or if its another of Animal products that is more for what im looking for.

Two completely different products.. Just my opinion tho.. Animal pak is packed with sooo much but it is very hard to swallow some of these pills. I use to down those and now I can't., great product tho...

yeah thats why im trying to find close 2nd to animal pak....if there were any other way to take it, some of them are pretty big.

and what are you looking for as in results

I just started working out for he 1st time this Saturday, my main goal is to start by bulking, am on a 3300 calorie meal a day diet high on protein.

Im looking for whatever pills are going to help me get here, have the energy and everything needed for progressive growth...i assume the animal pak or one of the other animal products is whats needed to get you there....right?

I understand that they are two completely different products, I'm saying that for what he is trying to do, M-stak is going to be very beneficial in keeping fat off while he is eating a lot of calories, especially for someone with minimal workout experience.

Honestly, yes, animal pak includes things that provide liver support, enzymes, and vits and mins......but it's really from my perspective like taking half doses of what you really need to get results.

Taking half a serving of multi vitamins is not helpful. Taking half a serving of liver support is not helpful. Taking half a serving of digestive enzymes does nothing.

So if you are looking to save a little cash and get a little bit of everything youre dead on. If you actually want liver protection, full nutrition from a multi vitamin, metabolic boosts, nutrient partitioning, digestive enzymes, you will spend the extra cash and get multiple things.

And I understand that Animal pack has a lot of things that Dx7 doesn't; that's because Dx7 is a full lifting geared multi vitamin and Animal Pak is a collage of small servings health oriented multi's as well as the aforementioned aspects. The serving of Dx7 is 4 of the same pills, and animal pak is one or two of a lot of different pills. This is partially why their nutritional labels are very different.

I'll just conclude by saying the old cliche; that everyone's body is different and everyone's body will respond differently to different supplements. For me, Animal had too many small servings of too many different areas to really have any noticeable affect in any of those areas. It's better for me to just buy a full multi, full liver support, etc and combine them. The best thing for you to do is try it, try other things, and make your own decision.

Have you thought about maybe start training really hard, eating big and see what your body does before looking to supplements? If not, you may want to look at pro-hormones.

Its day 2 of SL5X5, I checked my 1RM for bench, its at 150, going to stay on my bulking diet and on the SL5X5 for the 12wks but i just figured start adding some kind of vitamin or pill supplement.

Are post/pre workout powders good or hype (I might post as seperate thread).

I don't think you need pre workout stuff just yet. Just get a good muti vitamin and eat good., post workout just have some good food waiting for you and down it with some a quality protein shake.

Keep stuff simple for now.. No point of wasting all this money if after a few weeks your motivation drops and your work ethic and everything just goes down the drain

They definitely help, but they aren't miracles in a bottle. Post workout you better be getting in a good recovery shake & meal.

yeah, the marketing material for all these pre/post products seems to make sense, but i like to here from succesful users.

I took today some sample that was given to me, a pre workout drink, another that i sip on during the workout, and another after he workout for recovery.

Other than that post workout i have a meal of chicken, then 6 hrs later i have a whey shake and a plain bagel....was wondering if the post workout recovery drinks in anycase worked or were hype.

6 hrs later!?!? Damn that's a long time.. I wish I could go without eating for that long. I get hungry about every 2-3 hrs. The mere thought of being catabolic scares me haha

well no my post workout meal is about 2-3hrs after, but the meal after that one (another 2-3hrs later) is the one that is a 60g whey shake and a plain bagel, so i dont do my whey until 5-6 after workout. I workout at 8:30-9:30am.

Im eating 6 meals every 2.5-3hrs.

You're on the right track man. I would definitely recommend 2gs of protein for every pound you weigh if you are really trying to put on serious muscle and keep your strength up.

If you really need a kick in the ass before a workout then pre workout drinks are nice. I'm definitely guilty of not getting enough sleep and then abusing N2KTS (low sleep tends to happen in college.....unfortunately).

But when I'm getting adequate sleep, I find that a whey protein shake right before a workout gives me good energy and fullness too. Need2 wrote an article on pre workout protein being more important that post workout protein if you want to go dig that up, that should help you out with that decision.
