How can you fail safely during squats?

When I bench in the power rack, I feel safe going all out where if I fail I am confident with the safety bars.

Squatting on the hand, is there any videos or can someone make one showing how to fall properly if you get stuck during squats? I want to have the confidence of going for it where if I fail, I could fall properly without injury.

Appreciate some tips. Especially a video! Thanks!

Squat in the rack, and set the safety bars to a point where when you are parallel or just below that the bar touches the bar. The added bonus is that when you get in the hole you get an audible click when you are deep enough, and you can also use it to make sure you are keeping the bar even - both sides should touch at the same time.

Absolutely never allow the bar to fall off your back. Big chance of injury there.

I would avoid physically htting the safety bars with the rack, just set them in a position that is just under where you normally go. If you can't get out of the hole just dump the bar on the safety rack, which should be 2-3 inches lower than the lowest point of your squat.

I would not actually touch the sefety racks with the bar though, it will competely relieve the tension on your back at the most crucial part of the lift, the bottom.

just squat the rest of the way down and set it there, don't throw the bar off your back or anything. It should be a short distance lower than parallel so you can comfortable squat the bar onto the rack. don't shift your weight forward and faceplant either lol

I'm speaking purely as a touch and go, not a deload on the pins.

I'll take your word Blazer. All I was trying to say is that even with touch and go on squats don't you think that would be adding a bounce factor to the lift? Or are you talking a very gentle touch just for form correction and consistent depth?

Just a gentle touch. It is a technique I use when coaching kids on the PL team to teach them depth and bar control. Sort of like a touch and go to a box but instead using the bar.
