The Wrestler - Mickey Rourke on Anabolic Steroids

I wanna see it, first golden globe nom ever. He was good in pope of greenwich village. Ever see the list of movies that guy has turned down, holy shit!
 
OMG you will be blown away by Rourke's performance. Ledger was good, but Rourke created a character that in the end of the movie, you wanna cry for him. He so deserves an Oscar for this. I have never seen an actor pull off a character like this.

i thoguht they shoulda called it "the juicer" and added in a muscle worship/pornography twist into it on top of the whole wrestling thing.

i personally thought he deserved a golden globe for his role in Hellboy

Mickey Rourke was in "Hellboy"???
 
I'm sure Rourke is awesome in this and made the movie.........but don't forget it's an Aronofsky film. That guy is just unreal. His movies usually slide under the radar too but are so fucking out there and real it's disturbing.
 
rourke made some 80's movies I remember him in angel heart.
He was a stud back in the day , now he looks like every other hollywood old fart with bad plastic surgery

It's a shame he tried to run away he might have served a shorter sentence..... now that he is in prison I wonder how difficult it is with their food and potential workout equipment to stay in shape.... I guess it depends on the correctional and the security level....
