Solving the Diamond/Water Paradox

Actually, other than the non-aggression principle; I'm not certain about anything. I'm the first to admit that I don't know how to organize society. Exactly how are you making a medical diagnosis for narcissism ?

After all, the DSM IV makes an exception for mass delusion in the diagnosis of delusion...an arbitrary exception made for religious beliefs....it's still delusion.

The chick in my avatar has been leading a practice for fifteen years that gets a lot of referrals from the government schools and she thinks the government needs to force more Jesus and violence on children even though the data are all contradictory. That was the last straw that I needed to break up with her, we had amazing sex, but before I knew her thought on the issues I sent her an article about the reform school in Florida where truants and smokers were beaten to death by the staff and she replied with "shit happens."

if any of this had ever happened, I'd say give that bish my number

You make personal attacks on redsam for pot smoking while being addicted to Ambien...a much more dangerous drug, objectively, than THC. You and a few others bring up my past on C&C, not me.

e.

That is actually a wholly valid at this point indisputable fact. And I smoke pot literally a handful or two times a year. I don't need anything to get me to sleep.

I was at the casino last week and catching up with my friend Jack and he stopped taking Ambien for his insomnia and a single toke from a joint allows him to sleep without all of the horrible Ambien side effects. That doesn't mean marijuana is completely harmless, he has a twin sister Jill that is completely burnt out. All drugs can be abused and cause long term damage but that's 10% of the population. It's annoying when people claim they have a pass on drug use because Dr. Feelgood gave them a prescription.

every single person i've ever known who took ambien had to stop after awhile because they felt fucked up during the day. We're talking about weeks, not continuous use over months if not years.

Jack was the guy that introduced me to steroids when we were in the Army; In his opinion, Ambien is the worst drug he ever took and he has experimented with everything.

1) I take Lunesta, not Ambien

2) I discontinue Lunesta multiple times a year, in periods ranging from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months. I'm currently off, but will get back on for this upcoming trip.

3) You and I have radically different lifestyles and work hours. Less than thirty-six hours from now, I'll be in Amman, Jordan meeting our implants distributor. My sleep schedule will need to be shifted for five or more days by six hours or more three times before Christmas. No one on this board would be a good sleeper under those conditions -- including yourself.

4) I don't have the luxury of sleep hygiene. At least 3+ days per week, I have to do a quick turnaround where I'm entertaining or working late into the evening, but have to get up only several hours later and be mentally on-point. I'd love to be able to stop work two hours before bed, then read for thirty minutes, flip out my endtable light and roll over into bed. But that isn't going to happen.

Comparing your ability to sleep to mine is an apples-to-hubcaps comparison.

P.S. Pot is still a god-awful drug. Comparing it to alcohol, sleeping pills or any other vice doesn't make it any better.

I assume because you read some research on the difference? I didn't realize there was a big difference between the two except different brands of virtually the same thing. I know you were on ambien a while ago, why'd you switch?

agreed, that sounds brutal. I'm fully aware you're in no position to do this...but I still contend that a cannabis extract pill would do everything and more that the Lunesta does for you including combating the inflammation buildup that I'm sure that kind of bio rythm disturbance would cause.

face deep in stripper ass with your buddies is not legitimate work expense. :lmao:

It's literally blasting people's cancer away. Occasionally one of the major news outlets will run a story of some little child showing their end stage cancer the door cause daddy or mommy gave them some cannabis oil. But it's there and gone in short order and not much is made of it. But if you look, you'll see that it's happening all over the place. You're not able to separate cannabis from the monkeys who have turned it into recreational lifestyle. Yes those people are utterly annoying I fully concur. I'm not interested in recreational drug use and never have been.

..

I don't get to do the stripper ass deal. Even when a customer evening takes a dark turn, I'm the one stuck being the chaperone.

And I couldn't do the pot thing with a quick turn-around -- I'd be in a fog all morning. I had one saki too much last Sunday night and was half-way in the air to Phenix City before I realized I was even traveling. I still don't remember the drive to the airport. And nope, no lunesta was involved.

I've taken 10 ambien CRs ever. The rest has been lunesta. The latter doesn't fog me out nearly as much, but a 9:30 lunesta means I'll be wide awake by 3:00 am. I'm not one of those iron-man types that claims to work on five hours either. I need more like seven or eight. But I'll get sleep when I can to make up the difference.
