How fast do we absorb these whey protein shakes?

Does any1 know a general time round figure on how long it takes to absorb a isolate/consentrate protein shake?Just wondering if maybe the 50grams is too much for the absorbtion rate like maybe this stuff goes through ya in like 30 minutes and you only get a chance of getting 20 grams in and the rest is going out in the urine?

i have read that whey is digessted over a 1-2 hour period
