The only reason I could see to not take supps during a cycle is if you're trying to assess whether or not your gear is bunk. But if you have a reputable source then you should definitely be on supps. For example, you surely need some liver support supps, some policosanol for your lipids, a multi-vitamin, essential fatty acids, the list goes on and on. I don't mean any disrespect but a post like that (and your first one, especially) just makes it obvious that you need to do tons more research on the sport first, let alone anything remotely having to do with AS.

And you can pass that message on to whatever 180 lb gym rat gave you that assinine advice.

i guess i should have explained more....im taking milk thissle and a multivitamin everyday. but should i continue taking my supplements such as no-xplode and cell mass (creatine)??

you need more than a multivitamin.....with the strain you put your body under while training on AAS, you need multivitamins geared toward the strenght athlete.....my pick is "animal paks". Also lots of glutamine.

As red said, the best supp to take is glutamine, and a lot of it. I used to use animal pak's and loved them but I had to drink like 2 liters of water to down all the pills I was stopping my workouts to piss all the time.

why do u suggest glutamine?? promote recovery time?? so u dont suggest a regular creatine or anything like that??
thanks alot

multivitamins, complex B,sepeteraly C and E, lot of protein ,amino, saw palmetto, milk thistle. i dont know but glutamine doesnt work for me.

PureCEE and/or RED BLAST (with PureCEE- pure creatine ethyl ester)
(creatine monohydrate on cycle will tend to make you look like a blowfish)

Glutamine has poor oral bioavailability, maily because it is all used up by the gut before it reaches the plasma

glutamine peptides or N-acetyl-glutamine or alanyl-l-glutamine (di-peptide- expensive but superior) are much preferred.

multi- dual tabs are good (not great but one of the best current commercially available)

aromatase inhibitor (at least a low dose)- aromasin or AIFM. with 250mg of test you can probably get away without one, but using a low dose will improve quality of gains and lower the already low risk of gyno. though LOW dose 5-10mg aromasin or 1-2 pumps AIFM, leaing toward 1 pump.

since you are not using any orals you dont really need liver protectants, though most of them are healthy so there is no reason not to take them.

generally reccomend:
glucorell- liver and glucose metabolism
cranberry extract- kidneys
WATER- its not a supplement but you should treat its dosing like its the most important one

One three times a day

ive been taking 2caps, 3X per day. Its too soon to tell if im making any progress with the gluco, but I take in the higher dose because I blame alot of my ab/stomach fat buildup on insulin sensitivity. I think insulin sensitivity is one of the main reasons why I had such bad fat tissue deposits on my midsection. Ive been dieting strict the last couple weeks and I have started gluco for a little over a week. Been doing more cardio now than ever, actually been "running" instead of ellyptical, did 2.25miles 3x a week for 2 weeks, and now ive started with a 3mile run , 3 times a week. Ran 6 miles last 2 days so im pretty pumped. also got some cardio breeze so im lookin forward to that really enhancing my cardio abilities :)

Supps on cycle:
Tyler's Liver Detox, B-complex, Mutli-V, Saw Palmetto, Milk Thistle, Fish Oil, Glutamine Peptides, Arginine, NOS, Aromisin (AIFM), Creatine, Whey Protein, Aminogen, R-ALA, and sometimes Glucorell-R

Promote recovery time, prevent muscle catabolism, most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue. And yes as Macro said, glutamine peptides are much preferred, but a good barometer to whether or not you're absorbing the glutamine enough is how gassy you get. Also, when I first started supplementing with glutamine years ago, I had diarrhea for about a week. I was training naturally so my protein syntehsis rate was not accelerated as it is with AAS, and my body was not used to synthetic peptides that if not absorbed, will draw excessive amounts of water into the gut lumen and produce an osmotic diarrhea.

be sure to update.

try brisk walking after the run to extend your cardio time to 45-60min, you will see a vast improvement in both your run and results by doing this.
