The gym I go to is fairly decent so I can just use their pull-up bar if I need to. Contudo, there are definitely times when I wish that I had a pull-up bar at home. Infelizmente, I don't have enough space to get a full pull-up bar, and I don't think it's really necessary to have one since I can go to the gym.
So my solution for doing pull-ups at home once and a while was to buy one of those pull-up bars from a department store. And it seems like these pull-up bars would work pretty good in theory since the box makes them look great. The outside of the box always shows some guy doing pull-ups with ease with the bar in the doorway.
So I went ahead and bought one of these pull-up bars to use at home. It was only $19.99 plus tax so I thought, "What the hell." Infelizmente, I was saying what the hell when I got home and looked at the instructions. The instructions said that I needed to nail the pull-up bar into the doorway. So am I really going to put nail holes into my doorway just to have a pull-up bar away from the gym?
The answer is a resounding no and I was thoroughly disappointed with the bar. I was hoping that it would be sturdy enough after I extended the bar to its full length; sadly it wasn't and maybe I was a little naive in this situation. Em qualquer caso, I doubt I'll ever try this experiment again.
